Kurt Busch continued to dominate at AutoClub Speedway this weekend as he topped the final practice session for the Sprint Cup Series.

He will start on pole for tomorrow's race on the 1.5 mile oval track and has been on fire in every session this weekend.

Paul Menard #27, Kevin Harvick #4, Casey Mears #13 and six time Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson in the #48 made up the top five on the board as 41 drivers posted a lap in the 55 minute session.

Harvick will have to put on a great performance if he wants to beat his Stewart Haas Racing team mate on Sunday and complete the west coast sweep.

The short 55 minute final practice session started with a number of drivers posting lap times early on.
The fastest of which was pole sitter Kurt Busch in the #41 who posted a lap time of 38.925 seconds to be top of the board.

After five minutes Ku Busch #41, Menard #27, Mears #13, Johnson #48 and Truex Jr #78 were the top five as already 35 drivers had posted a lap time.

Moffitt who is subbing for Brian Vickers in the #55 this weekend was 33rd early on and had an issue in qualifying last night when he got into the wall coming out of turn three and sustained some damage.

The driver starting 2nd tomorrow, Harvick in the #4, jumped to 3rd on the chart with a 39.297 second lap with 44 minutes to go in final practice.

Larson in the #42 had ran the most laps in this session, a total of 18 already, with 40 minutes still to go.

This weekends race will see C.Buescher make his Sprint Cup Series debut driving the #34 and he was 35th with a 40.667 second lap with 36 minutes to go.

At the half way point Kurt Busch #41 was still at the top of the board with a lap time of 38.925 seconds.
Behind him Menard #27 was 2nd with a 39.155 seconds, Harvick #4 was 3rd with a 39.297, Mears #13 was 4th with a 39.313 and six time champion Johnson #48 was 5th with a 39.346 as 41 drivers had posted a lap.

Track action picked up again with 25 minutes to go as drivers went back out to pick up some more feedback for their teams on set-ups and tyre wear.

Top of the board driver Ku Busch #41 was back out on track with 22 minutes to go looking to improve on his 184.971mph lap speed.

Edwards who was 17th on the board with 20 to go told FoxSports: "I just know that we are not fast at the minute and Darian (Grubb) is just going to change everything."

Harvick #4 and Menard #27 were back out on track together with just 17 minutes to go to try and improve from 2nd and 3rd on the board.

Rookie Moffitt in the #55 got into the wall slightly coming out of turn two with 15 minutes to go in final practice for the Cup Series drivers.

With only ten minutes to go there was no change in the top five from earlier as still 41 of the 43 drivers in the race had posted a time.

More drivers were back out on track with under ten minutes left to try and improve their times and get some more data before the race tomorrow at 3pm ET.
