The fifth round of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship season took place at Circuit of The Americas this past weekend. Here's how the championship standings look after the Six Hours of COTA.

LMP1

The No. 7 Audi Sport Team Joest trio of Marcel FässlerAndré Lotterer, and Benoît Tréluyer remain at the top of the Drivers' Championship with 113 points, though the race-winning No. 17 Porsche Team crew Timo BernhardMark Webber, and Brendon Hartley caught them by seven points and reduced the gap to 10 following Saturday's six-hour race on American soil.

The electronic issue the No. 18 Porsche suffered in the final hour of the event was very costly for Romain DumasNeel Jani, and Marc Lieb; they only scored half a point for finishing the race and a point for the pole position. While they were in third place just two points behind the No. 17 crew before the COTA race, the gap is now 25.5 points, and 35.5 points to leaders.

In fourth place are the No. 8 Audi drivers Lucas Di GrassiLoïc Duval, and Oliver Jarvis, already 46 points behind the leaders and 11.5 points behind third place.

While the No. 18 Porsche finished only 12th overall, it was the fifth-best factory LMP1 scoring 10 points toward the Manufacturers' Championship. Combined with its pole and the No. 17's win, Porsche was able to extend the championship lead over Audi by three points to 36 points. Toyota scored only 12 points for the fourth place of the No. 1, and they are already 119 points behind Porsche.

The No. 4 Team Bykolles entry took the second consecutive private LMP1 class win, though the car remains third in the private LMP1 teams' Endurance Trophy. They reduced the gap to the leading No. 12 Rebellion Racing entry by 10 points to a margin of 19 points. One point behind the No. 12 Rebellion entry is the team's No. 13 entry, having reduced the gap by three points in the COTA race.

The private LMP1 drivers' standings follow the teams' standings. In the lead are Nicolas Prost, Nick Heidfeld, and Mathias Beche of the No. 12 Rebellion.

LMP2

The No. 47 KCMG entry retained the lead of the LMP2 teams' Endurance Trophy with the second-place finish. The COTA-winning No. 26 G-Drive Racing entry climbed to second place ahead of the No. 28 G-Drive entry, yet is still 14 points behind the KCMG car in the standings. Similarly, the full-time drivers of the No. 47 KCMG entry, Matthew Howson and Richard Bradley, continue in the LMP2 drivers' lead ahead of the G-Drive entries' drivers.

GTE-Pro & Am

Porsche Team Manthey's Richard Lietz took his second consecutive win and increased his lead in the GT drivers' World Endurance Cup. He extended the lead to No. 71 AF Corse drivers Davide Rigon and James Calado by 10 points to lead by 11 exiting the round in Texas. In third place is Lietz's crewmate Michael Christensen, trailing Lietz by 18 points after missing the Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

With the class win, the No. 91 Porsche Team Manthey entry also took the lead of the GTE-Pro teams' Endurance Trophy. The previous leader, the No. 71 AF Corse entry, finished third at COTA and lost the standings' lead by six points.

The top three of the GTE-Am teams' Endurance Trophy remained intact. With the come-from-behind class win at COTA, the No. 72 SMP Racing entry extended the lead to the No. 83 AF Corse Ferrari to 35 points and put 50 points between them and the No. 98 Aston Martin Racing entry. The GTE-Am drivers' standings follow teams' standings with the SMP drivers Aleksey BasovViktor Shaitar, and Andrea Bertolini in the lead.

Ferrari remains in the GT manufacturers' World Endurance Cup lead, yet Porsche's 1-2 finish in GTE reduced Ferrari's lead to just two points. Additionally, Aston Martin caught Ferrari with a point, though is trailing by 58 points.

The FIA World Endurance Championship continues in two weeks on the weekend of October 9-11 with the Six Hours of Fuji.
