The second-ever season of North American sports car racing under the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship banner will come to a close next weekend at Road Atlanta's Petit Le Mans.

Nine cars from Prototype, eight from Prototype Challenge and GT Le Mans and 12 from the GT Daytona class add up to a field of 37 for the 2015 season finale.

Prototype

Of the nine Prototype entries for the Petit Le Mans, eight have three drivers named to them rather than the normal two for what is both the final round of the 2015 TUDOR Championship season and also the fourth and final round of the 2015 Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup. The lone entry with just two drivers is the No. 07 Mazda Motorsports No. 07 SKYACTIV Diesel Prototype with Tom Long and Joel Miller in the two driver slots.

Andy Meyrick will join Memo Rojas and Katherine Legge in the No. 0 Claro/TracFone DeltaWing Racing DeltaWing DWC13 which nearly finished on the podium in the penultimate round of the season at Circuit of The Americas before Rojas took the car for an off-track excursion.

Joining Christian Fittipaldi and Joao Barbosa in the No. 5 Action Express Racing Corvette Daytona Prototype will be Sebastien Bourdais while Max Papis joins Eric Curran and Dane Cameron in the team's No. 31 entry.

Max Angelelli will share the wheel of the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP while Scott Dixon will pilot the No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing Ford EcoBoost Riley DP with COTA winners Joey Hand and Scott Pruett.

Also notable is Matt McMurry who will make his 103rd start at the age of just 17, sharing the wheel of the No. 60 Honda-powered Ligier JS P2 of Michael Shank Racing for the weekend. As the youngest ever driver to compete at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, McMurry finished fifth at COTA in the PC class.

I always like racing at Road Atlanta," said McMurry. "I actually won my first-ever IMSA Prototype Lites race there last year after scoring the pole. I’m really looking forward to being back at Road Atlanta with Michael Shank Racing.”

Prototype Challenge

Of the eight PC cars for the weekend, four have three drivers entered to contest the 10-hour season finale at Road Atlanta while one will take to the track with a four-driver strategy.

The No. 11 RSR Racing ORECA FLM09 will be shared by Bruno Junqueira, Chris Cumming, Gustavo Menezes and Jack Hawksworth as the only car taking the four-driver approach for the race.

Both the No. 38 Performance Tech Motorsports and No. 54 CORE autosport cars are listed without a third driver named, but it will be Conor Daly in the No. 38 alongside James French and Jerome Mee and likely James Gue in the No. 54 for CORE.

That makes for two cars with confirmed three-driver lineups for the weekend: the No. 52 PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports and No. 85 JDC/Miller Motorsports cars have their three drivers named to the cars with no additonal drivers to be added.

Although the No. 61 is not on the entry list and the No. 16 is listed with both of its two driver slots TBA, Brian Alder of BAR1 Motorsports told Sportscar365 that he is hoping to field two ORECA FLM09s for the weekend.

GT Le Mans

All GTLM entries besides the No. 4 Corvette Racing Corvette C7.R are taking the three-driver approach into the finale weekend at Road Atlanta (Simon Pagenaud will be at home in France after Tuesday's IndyCar test at Road America).

Ryan Briscoe will share the No. 3 Corvette with Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia whule Jens Klingmann and Augusto Farfus will join the usual driver pairs of the No. 24 and No. 25 BMW Team RLL Z4 GTEs, respectively.

The No. 62 Risi Competizione Ferrari F458 Italia as well as the pair of Porsche North America 911 RSRs will have third drivers for the weekend but each currently has the third slot as TBA.

GT Daytona

Confirmed third drivers in the GTD class are Andrew Davis and Alex Riberas (Nos. 22 and 23, Alex Job Racing), Sebastiaan Bleekemolen and Marc Goossens (Nos. 33 and 93, Riley Motorsports), Robert Renauer (Magnus Racing), Colin Thompson (Flying Lizard Motorsports), Bryce Miller (Paul Miller Racing), Madison Snow (Park Place Motorsports), Andy Priaulx (Turner Motorsport) and Brandon Davis (TRG-AMR).

Patrick Lindsey, Spencer Pumpelly and Madison Snow will share the wheel of the No. 73 Porsche 911 GT America of Park Place Motorsports in a logical TUDOR Championship debut for the team given that Snow drives for the Park Place-run BAD Lambo Racing team in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo North America championship.

Robert Renauer will pilot the No. 44 Porsche of Magnus Racing with John Potter and Andy Lally rather than Marco Seefried who will be competing in the Blacpain Sprint Series for the weekend.

The No. 93 Dodge Viper GT3R of Riley Motorsports, which leads the NAEC points entering this finale weekend, will be driven by Al Carter, Cameron Lawrence and Marc Goossens who spent the COTA weekend driving the Lone Star Racing Viper in its TUDOR Championship debut.

Also notable is a No. 64 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 568 Italia listed with three driver slots, each TBA. Additionally, a third driver is yet to be added to the team's main No. 63 car.

The finale weekend begins on October 1 at Road Atlanta.
