Many members of the Chilean media have reported that Argentinian striker Sebastian Jaime has signed a contract with Major League Soccer club Real Salt Lake. Sebastian currently plays for Chilean club Union Espanola

Despite multiple sources saying Jaime has signed a contract with RSL, one of the sources being the Manager of Union Espanola, RSL spokesman Trey Fitz-Gerald said "Real Salt Lake is aware of the reports connecting the club to the player in question, however at this point, we do not have a signed player." The Club has talked to Jaime, according to Head Coach Jeff Cassar on a radio show earlier this week.

Yesterday was the transfer deadline for Major League Soccer, so if RSL and Jaime didn't get a contract signed, they will have to wait until the end of the season to do so. Other sources say they have signed, and are waiting for a visa and work permit for Sebastian.

There have been reports that they have a signed contract, and the visa and work permit are in place. Those reports say that Real Salt Lake will announce the signing tomorrow. No time has been given for the announcement. Real Salt Lake has not confirmed that they will announce the signing tomorrow.

Many RSL fans have discussed the possibility that Real Salt Lake might have to release or trade a player for this deal to happen. They have mentioned Striker Robbie Findley, Striker Devon Sandoval, and Midfielder Luis Gil. Only the club knows if he has been signed, and if they have to release a player if they signed him.
