Chivas USA will not finish their final season in last place thanks to Felix Borja. Borja's winner in the 32nd minute vaulted Chivas over their opponent, the San Jose Earthquakes, and Colorado Rapids to finish 7th in the Western Conference.

Erick "Cubo" Torres almost slotted home the game winner after dribbling past Earthquake defender Victor Bernardez and into the box, where he curled a low shot past Jon Busch that ricocheted off of the far post. Borja was in the right place at the right time to power home the rebound.

After a slow first half, San Jose turned it on in the second 45 minutes to pepper the Chivas goal with shots, but nothing could undo the fate of Chivas USA winning their final game as a franchise.

It was a tale of what could've been for San Jose as Chris Wondolowski, and Yannick Djalo were unfortunate not to grab an equalizer in the second half. Minutes after the break, Wondolowski was left open in the box but could not direct his header on frame. Wondo has scored more goals against Chivas (10) than any other team in the league.

Chivas USA will now go on hiatus for at least two years. Rumors about being bought out by ownership groups have been floating around and are gaining traction. Don Garber has stated that (MLS) wants two teams in LA. Some say Sacramento Republic FC of America's third division, USL Pro, will be taking their place in the future, while others think David Beckham will scrap his Miami FC project to try his hand in California.

Farewell Chivas USA.
