On Thursday, Philadelphia Union revealed their 2016 Major League Soccer Season Primary Jersey.

The colors of blue and gold will stay the same, but the new primary jersey has taken the snake from the Union’s crest and made it the theme for the entire jersey.

To start, the gold stripe in the middle of the jersey, where the crest is, has been updated to have a snakeskin texture. To add, Philadelphia placed a new golden snake jock-tag at the bottom of the jersey, which bears a strong resemblance to the Gadsden flag’s snake.

“I feel a good energy wearing this jersey,” Philadelphia Union Forward C.J. Sapong said in a press release. “It is complete with the snake theme, which rounds out the vibe. I am super excited to be wearing this jersey in 2016.”

Continuing with the snake theme, on the inside collar, the words “We Are One” are inscribed along with another snake beside the phrase. To finish, the woven crest has been exchanged for a new rubber crest and the Adidas famous three stripes have been moved to the sides of the jersey.

The Jersey is available for preorder on the Philadelphia Union website. Those preorders will be shipped on March 6th and fans will be able to get a look at the jersey on the same day starting at 12 PM EST at Talen Energy Stadium.

The new jersey will likely see its first minutes on the pitch for the team’s home opener on March 20th, when Philadelphia takes on New England Revolution at Talen Energy Stadium with kickoff slated for 2:30 PM EST.
