Haiti fell 1-0 to Peru on Saturday in Group B action at the Copa America Centenario but earned admiration for their play. Haiti surely surprised everyone with their resilient performance, having battled throughout the match and probably deserving a draw. They had their moments and were close to levelling things in the 94th minute, but Lady Luck was on Peru's side.

J. Placide (GK) - 6. Had to surrender to Guerrero's goal on the hour mark. Besides that, he protected Haiti's posts pretty well. One of the leaders at the back.

R. Goreaux (RB) - 7. Pacey fullback who kept pushing forward on the right flank throughout the match, giving Peru's left back Miguel Trauco a hard time.

R. Genevois (CB) - 7. The central defensive pair was formidable against Peru's offensive line. Genevois won almost every 50-50 battle with Peru's players and was never shy of throwing himself into risky challenges.

J. Mechack (CB) - 7. The same words go for Mechack, who, alongside Genevois, formed one of the most synchronised centre-back pairings of the tournament. The credit for the tight scoreline goes to them.

K. Jaggy (LB) - 6. If only he pushed forward a little more, he would have created something from the left flank. However, it was a difficult night for him marking an inspiring Renzo Revoredo

J. Marcelin (CM) - 5. A disappointing performance from Haiti's number 14 who was the protagonist in a couple of clumsy challenges which almost cost him the match. Needs to step up his game in the upcoming fixture against Brazil.

K.P. Lafrance (CM) - 7. Probably the best player on the pitch for the losing side. Pacey, creative and sacrificed himself at the back on some occasions as well. Boasted the best passing accuracy for his team, 85%.

M. Hilaire (CM)/J.M. Alexandre (CM) - 6/6. Unfortunately for him, he played only 40 minutes as he had to be taken off due to an injury, forcing a substitution with Alexandre replacing him. The latter did occupy Hilaire's role very well and was never shy in proposing himself upfront.

J. Louis (CF) - 6. An all-rounder. Probably he was the attacker who defended the most as he constantly helped his team while not in possession and grabbed the ball in order to lift his team upwards on the field.

D. Nazon (CF)/K. Belfort - 6/6. Nazon and Belfort had golden opportunities to snatch a point for their home nation, but neither attacker succeed. Nonetheless, Haiti can still be dangerous upfront with these two and their hopes of netting a goal in this tournament are not dead in the water.

W. Donald (CF) - 6. Sometimes he was missing from the match, and that is a pity as whenever he was in the midst of an attacking movement, he was capable of cutting into space, giving Haiti a numerical advantage on the flank, combining well with Kim Jaggy, whenever the latter pushed forward.
