Full-time score: Montreal Impact 2, Seattle Sounders FC 2.
Thanks for joining me tonight for what turned out to be a dramatic thriller right at the death. This is Kudzi Musarurwa signing off until next time.
There's the full-time whistle. Brian Schmetzer?'s gamble to through Will Bruin on late in the game pays off as the striker picks up a valuable point away for the Sounders. The Impact will be wondering how they let this game slip away from their fingers with just over ten minutes to go.
90+5' Bruin holds off his marker but fires high over the crossbar as he tried to get the winner for Seattle.
Montreal Impact 2 - 2 Seattle Sounders FC
Roldan shrugs off Oyongo and sends in a great cross that Morris attacks well and wins in the air. The ball drops kindly for Bruin and the substitute powers it home from close range.
90+3' GOAL! Seattle equalize right at the death through Bruin!
90' Dempsey thinks he's scored Seattle's second but the referee calls the goal back due to a handball by Morris. The referee got that absolutely wrong as it hit Morris' chest and Seattle can feel very hard done by there.
88' Seattle push forward in search of the equalizer and earn themselves a corner. Bush calls out loud for the ball as it comes in from the corner and gathers it through traffic.
85' SUBSTITUTION: Seattle make their last change as Will Bruin comes in for Torres. Looks like Seattle are going for it here to earn the draw.
83' SUBSTITUTION: While all of that was going on Wandrille Lefevre came on for Cabrera.
Montreal Impact 2 - 1 Seattle Sounders FC
83' GOAL! Lodeiro brings Seattle back into this game as he sends Bush the wrong way.
82' PENALTY! Fisher strides forward and earns Seattle a penalty off of Ciman.
80' Just over ten minutes yo go here and Seattle have not created anything of worry for Montreal. Play has stopped for now as it seems like Víctor Cabrera needs some treatment.
75' Marshall gets his head onto the ball after Lodeiro sends in the corner but it's easy for Bush to gather into his hands.
73' Piatti is found in space on the break and he cuts inside before firing straight at Frei.
72' SUBSTITUTION: Seattle make their second change of the night as Henry Wingo comes on for Shipp.
66' SUBSTITUTION: Montreal make their second change as Ballou Jean-Yves Tabla comes in for Oduro.
65' YELLOW CARD: Mancosu becomes the second name in the referee's book after two consecutive fouls on Alonso.
62' CHANCE! Mancosu meets the corner with his head and misses just narrowly wide.
61' Torres strides forward from the back and unleashes a speculative shot that doesn't even trouble Bush in goal.
59' SUBSTITUTION: Adrian Arregui comes in for Bernier as Montreal's first change of the game and Oniel Fisher comes on for Svensson as Seattle's first change of the night.
58' CHANCE! Svensson gets forward and almost finds Morris with his cut back. The ball eventually falls to Shipp who blasts his shot over the bar.
56' Piatti somehow wriggles his way past three defenders and takes a shot on goal. It's easy for Frei to collect though. At this point, the Impact #10 is taking over this game.
53' Seattle look to answer back quickly as Joevin Jones ?gets forward and they win the corner. The ball falls to Dempsey in the box after the corner is set in but he can only fire high and wide as he takes the shot off-balance.
Montreal Impact 2 - 0 Seattle Sounders FC
Lodeiro loses the ball at midfield and Piatti takes it on in a two-versus-two situation. He uses Mancosu's run as a diversion, fires the ball in between Torres and Marshall and beats Frei's outstrecthed dive.
51' GOAL! And what a goal that is by Piatti!
48' Montreal change into a three-front whenever they get the ball and that front three of Piatti, Oduro and Mancosu almost find a way past Seattle's defenders on the break.
46' And we're back. No changes for either side after the break.
Montreal Impact 1 - 0 Seattle Sounders FC
45' And there's the half time whistle. The Impact have the lead but in terms of chances created, the two teams have been equal. Seattle, and in particular Morris, have not taken the chances that have fallen to them and thus, they find themselves behind by one goal.
43' Marco Donadel tries his luck from a long way out but it clears the crossbar easily.
42' Piatti glides past Roldan (he's done that a few times already tonight) and finds Oyongo out wide. The full back plays the ball towards Mancosu but Torres is there to kick the ball away from the striker.
39' Cristian Roldan wins a free-kick for the Sounder near midfield.
37' CHANCE! Another huge opportunity is wasted by Morris after he gets onto Dempsey's long ball from the back. He outpaces his defenders again but shoots wide of the near post. The Sounders have definitely had their shots at finding the equalizer tonight.
33' CHANCE! This time Seattle gets their opportunity as Gustav Svensson finds Dempsey with a good cross into the box. The US international is unchallenged but he too, heads the ball right into Evan Bush's grateful hands.
32' CHANCE! Big chance for Montreal goes begging as Duvall finds Bernadello unmarked in the box after a late run. The midfielder doesn't get enough accuracy on his header and it falls right into Frei's arms.
30' Shipp plays Morris through but Ciman is there to block his shot and concede the corner. The corner comes to nothing and eventually Lodeiro loses his bearings and send the ball out for a goal kick.
28' Montreal think they're away here with Hernán Bernadello but play is called back as Bernadello had fouled Osvaldo Alonso as he tried to win the ball.
25' Both teams had one really good chance each and the Impact took theirs, otherwise it's been an even game.
23' Seattle keep probing at the Impact backline and Lodeiro wins a corner for them. He plays it short Dempsey, gets the ball back but no one is making a run at the far post to reach his cross.
20' Seattle get forward now with Dempsey who cuts it back to Shipp but his curling effort goes wide of the far post.
Montreal Impact 1 - 0 Seattle Sounders FC
Piatti plays a long ball over the top which Mancosu reaches, rounds Frei and tucks it away into the open net. It's not the first time Piatti has tried that ball and this time, Seattle can't clear it away before Mancosu can get to it.
17' GOAL! The Impact take the lead through Mancosu!
16' Some good interplay out on the flank between Duvall and Patrice Bernier leads to a cross that almost falls to Mancosu but Torres reads the ball well and clears it away.
15' Montreal play quick free-kick in midfield out to Chris Duvall but the pass is too long and it rolls out for a goal kick.
14' Piatti finds Matteo Mancosu with good ball over the top and the striker finds Piatti making a late run into e box but Chad Marshall is there to clear the ball away.
12' Dempsey's free-kick hits the wall and Román Torres' reset goes straight out for a goal kick.
11' YELLOW CARD: Morris is away here and uses his pace to go right by Ciman who trips up the forward and prevents him from getting his shot off. Free-kick for the Sounders in a very good spot for them.
9' Clint Dempsey almost finds Morris unmarked in the box but Laurent Ciman is there to cut out the pass.
8' Lodeiro wins a free-kick off of Oduro and the Sounders can move further up the field.
6' Montreal get forward now with the left back Ambroise Oyongo and he finds Dominic Oduro unmarked at the far post but Seattle are quick to get to the ball and clear their lines.
5' CHANCE! Nicolás Lodeiro plays Harry Shipp through with a nice ball and the former Impact player finds Jordan Morris in the box but the forward skies his shot from less than six yards out.
4' Ignacio Piatti gets into the box and his shot rockets off a Sounders defender. His pleas for a penalty are ignored by the referee.
3' Both teams are pressing each other high up the field but nothing clear cut has been created from that pressure or their general play yet.
1' And we're off!
Teams are on their way out now for the national anthems and kick-off. Let us know who you think will will this on our @VAVEL_MLS Twitter account.

Hello everyone and welcome to our coverage of tonight's game where the Montreal Impact host Seattle Sounders FC in the second game of the season for both teams.
Prediction: As both teams will be searching for the win, the Impact being the hosts will probably try to start on the front foot and stay on the front foot in their first home game of the season. This could play nicely into the hands of the Sounders who proved last season to be a very capable team on the break, especially if Morris can find space to run into behind the Impact's backline. The match should be a good one with plenty of opportunities and with the quality they possess, the Sounders should come out on top.
Leading the Impact on Saturday will be Mauro Biello while Brian Schmetzer continues to be the head coach of the Sounders. The referee assignments are also out with Jair Marrufo being the center official for the game and he will be assisted by Corey Rockwell and Brian Poeschel on the sidelines. The fourth official will be Geoff Gamble
Frei; Fisher, Torres, Marshall, Jones; Alonso, Roldan; Fernández, Dempsey, Lodeiro; Morris.
Projected Lineup: Seattle Sounders FC (4-2-3-1).
Bush; Duvall, Cabrera, Ciman, Oyongo; Bernardello, Bernier, Donadel; Oduro, Mancosu, Piatti.
Projected Lineup: Montreal Impact (4-3-3).
The match will be played at the Montreal Olympic Stadium in Montreal, QC on March 11th, 2017. The game will broadcast on TVAS or MLS Live and kickoff is set for 7:00 PM EST.
Simply put, this is a game that both teams will want to win. After falling to defeats in both of their previous outings, both teams will want to start their seasons again and for the Impact, a home win in their first home game of the season would help with that while the Sounders know that picking up a road win against a team as tricky as the Impact could set them in good stead for the rest of the season.
Seattle will be without the services of Brad Evans at the back but Chad Marshall and Roman Torres should be available to start again in front of goalkeeper Stefan Frei. The Sounders' defense will be looking to perform at a higher standard than they did against the Dynamo, so even without the services of Evans, his possible replacements Oniel Fisher and Gustav Svensson, should do a capable job if called upon.
The Sounders are also looking to bounce back after an opening day defeat away to the Houston Dynamo. The Sounders are always up-and-down on the road so the start, although disappointing, will not worry many of their fans as of yet. The return of Clint Dempsey was something that would have pleased the Sounders faithful and if last week's performance is anything to go by, Dempsey looks like he is well on his way back to full fitness. Combine that with the threat that the mercurial Nicolás Lodeiro possesses and the pace of Jordan Morris up top, the Sounders know that they have the ability to unlock any defense and win games with those three alone.
At the front is, of course, the fluidity and danger of their front three; Dominic Oduro, Matteo Mancosu, and Ignacio Piatti. Piatti in particular will be the focus of what the Impact will try and do in front of goal. After not finding the back of the net against the San Jose Earthquakes last week, the forward will be looking to rectify that and begin this season as he ended the last.
The Montreal Impact will want to have their home opener to be one where they show their intentions for the season and beating the reigning MLS Cup champions will be a great way to jump-start their season. The Impact will be glad to welcome back the services of Victor Cabrera and Wandrille Lefevre who have both returned from injury in time for this game. As veteran centre back Hassoun Camara is out due to suspension, the expectation is that Cabrera will slot in for Camara and not much will drop off in terms of quality at the back for the Impact.
