Bayern Munich

1. FC Union Berlin (A) – Bayern were able to hold off a late comeback to beat Berlin 2-1 earlier in the season. This is the first game back and it will be tough for many players; but, the quality and fitness of the Bayern players should prove to be too much for Berlin and will be enough for a comfortable victory. (0-3) W

Eintracht Frankfurt (H) – Ten-man Bayern were blown away when Frankfurt demolished them 5-1 earlier this season. However, a repeat in history is highly unlikely as Bayern will be looking for revenge and will see themselves taking all three points. (4-1) W

Borussia Dortmund (A) – This will be Bayern’s first real test of the resumed season and all eyes will be on this fixture. Although Bayern beat Dortmund 4-0 during the season, Dortmund were without high-flying wonder-kid Håland. The Bayern defence will have a tough task on their hands, which I believe will be just too much. (2-1) L

Fortuna Düsseldorf (H) – Fortuna are currently in a relegation play-off spot and will be looking to get points wherever possible but they won’t be able to get any when they face Bayern. A similar result will be in store as earlier on in the season when Bayern eased passed Fortuna 4-0. (5-1) W

Bayer Leverkusen (A) – This will be a tough game for both sides, with Leverkusen only two points off a Champions League spot. Bayern will be hoping to avenge their 2-1 defeat earlier on in the season courtesy of a Leon Bailey double. However, this will not be an easy task and Bayern might have to share the spoils. (2-2) D

Borussia Mönchengladbach (H) – A 92nd minute winner saw Bayern fall to a 2-1 defeat during the midway point in the first half of the season. M’gladbach will be looking to close the gap between themselves and top spot and will be hoping to take all three points. This will not be an easy task for Munich and will only come away with a point. (1-1) D

SV Werder Bremen (A) – The last meeting between the sides ended with a Coutinho hat-trick and a 6-1 victory for Bayern. Bremen sit second bottom and eight points from safety and will be needing a miracle if they are wanting to take just a point from Bayern; Anything other than a Bayern victory is highly unlikely. (1-5) W

SC Freiburg (H) – Freiburg will not be a push over and will take a very strong Bayern side to beat them. Bayern won 3-1 in the reverse fixture but with Freiburg only one point behind a Europa League Qualification spot they will be giving everything to have their chance in Europe but will it be enough to take points from Munich? (4-2) W

VfL Wolfsburg (A) – The final game of the season never seems to disappoint but will Bayern have already won the league by this stage? Two goals in the last five minutes saw Bayern beat Wolfsburg 2-0 in the previous game but Wolfsburg are in the same situation as Freiburg, being only one point behind the Europa League Qualification spot. One, if not both teams will have something to fight for on the last day of the season and it will be an interesting affair. (2-3) W

Borussia Dortmund

Schalke 04 (H) – Dortmund’s first game back will be in The Rivierderby! This fierce fixture in German football is a treat for all football fans but there will be no love lost between the sides when they step onto the pitch. Whilst the majority of games between the sides have ended in a draw, Dortmund will need to kick-start their remaining games with a win if they are to catch Bayern Munich at the top of the table. (4-2) W

VfL Wolfsburg (A) – A comfortable 3-0 win for Dortmund was the result earlier on in the season. Wolfsburg have tightened up in defence since this defeat and have won of the best defensive records in the league so Dortmund’s attackers will need to be in good form if they are wanting a repeat of their last meeting. (0-1) W

Bayern Munich (H) – If Bayern come out on top and beat Dortmund then it will look like they have one hand on the Bundesliga title. However, if Dortmund can beat Bayern, the title race will be wide open again and only a point will separate the two sides. Håland and Sancho will need show why they are some of the best young players in the world if they are wanting to get around the Bayern defence. Whatever the outcome, it will certainly be a great fixture. (2-1) W

SC Paderborn (A) – A Marco Reus goal in the 92nd minute ensured Dortmund scraped a point against the leagues bottom-side when they drew 3-3 in the reverse fixture. Paderborn will certainly give it everything they have as they need to win the majority of their games if they are wanting any chance to stay in the German top league. However, Dortmund will just do enough to come away will all three points. (1-2) W

Hertha Berlin (H) – Ten man Dortmund were able to hold off a second-half comeback in the previous fixture, when they won 2-1. Berlin are not completely safe from a relegation battle, and will need to pick up points wherever possible but it is highly unlikely they will be able to come away with anything from a Dortmund team on a mission. (3-1) W

Fortuna Düsseldorf (A) – Dortmund will play a team in the bottom three for the second time in three weeks. A score-line similar to the reverse fixture is highly likely as Fortuna have the second worse defensive record in the league and Dortmund have scored the second most goals in the league. (0-4) W

Mainz 05 (H) – Mainz are another team that are the relegation battle, only being four points clear from the relegation playoff spot. Both teams will be needing all three points for different reasons and Mainz will need to put up a better fight than the previous fixture if they are wanting ensure their safety. (2-1) W

RB Leipzig (A) – A fascinating fixture that will have everything at stake for both teams. The reverse fixture saw a hard fought 3-3 draw and fans will be treated to something similar this time around. The game could decide ultimately decide who finishes second or even first place. A tough game to predict who will win but both sets of players will put everything on the line. (3-3) D

Hoffenheim (H) – Dortmund haven’t beaten Hoffenheim in the league since 2017 but will need to break that streak if they are going to win the league for the first time since 2012. If the predictions are correct, Dortmund will need to take all three points to ensure they end Bayern’s eight year winning streak. (2-0) W

RB Leipzig

SC Freiburg (H) – A somewhat difficult fixture for Leipzig to return to; Freiburg took all three points in a 2-1 victory last time. Neither side was in good form before the temporary stop to football. Leipzig will still think they are in the title race and they have every right to believe that as they are only five points behind Bayern, but they will need to start taking all three points instead of sharing points with teams. (1-0) W

Mainz 05 (A) – Leipzig embarrassed Mainz 8-0 earlier on in the season, with Timo Werner getting a hat-trick. Mainz will be looking to keep the score-line down in the fixture as a Leipzig victory is most likely. (1-4) W

Hertha Berlin (H) – The reverse fixture saw six goals when Leipzig came away 4-2 winners. Werner will be hoping to catch the league’s top scorer Lewandowski by adding to his goal tally in this fixture, but it will be a more closely contested affair this time around. (1-0) W

FC Köln (A) – Köln are not in the business of drawing games this season, having only drawn twice all season; meaning one of the teams will more than likely come away with all three points. A surprise upset could be on the cards, with Köln making a late push for a Europe League Qualification spot. (2-1) L

SC Paderborn (H) – Leipzig managed to claim all three points earlier on in the season despite a two second-half goals from Paderborn, when they won 3-2. However, a more one-sided game will be in-store this time around as Leipzig will need to make amends following their defeat to Köln. (5-1) W

Hoffenheim (A) – Hoffenheim drew two of their last three fixtures before the brief stoppage to the league; whilst Leipzig drew four out of their last six. Leipzig will have to share the points in this fixture and start to drift away from the front two teams. (2-2) D

Fortuna Düsseldorf (H) – The reverse fixture saw a comfortable 3-0 victory for Leipzig, but with Fortuna trying to prevent themselves from being relegated back to the second division, Leipzig will have to be at their best if they are wanting to re-gain any lost ground on the leaders. (2-0) W

Borussia Dortmund (H) – This will be a close tie with the game expected to bring many goals. Leipzig will feel that anything but a victory will hinder their chances to finish above Dortmund but Dortmund will not push over. (3-3) D

FC Augsburg (A) – With a Champions League spot more than likely gained and the league out of sight many it will leave Leipzig without much to play for. However, they will be wanting to finish the league with a victory and Werner will be hoping he is still in the golden boot race by the end of the season. (2-4) W

Borussia Mönchengladbach

Eintracht Frankfurt (A) – Although Frankfurt sit in twelfth place, it will be a difficult fixture for M’gladbach to return too. They were victorious in the reveres fixture 4-2, and will need a win if they are to have any chance of winning the title. (1-3) W

Bayer Leverkusen (H) – Only one goal separated the two-sides earlier on in the season and this will once again be a closely fought game. Leverkusen are only two points behind M’gladbach who occupy the final Champions League spot. This will be a great battle and a tough task for M’gladbach. (1-1) D

Werder Bremen (A) – Bremen were in terrible form prior to the stoppage and M’gladbach will be hoping add another loss to their record. M’gladbach will be expected to beat Bremen as this should be a relatively easy task. They will be disappointed with anything less than three points. (0-2) W

1. FC Union Berlin (H) – M’gladbach were defeated 2-0 in the reverse fixture and will be looking to avenge their loss. However, Union Berlin will be looking to claim the Europa League Qualification spot in their first season in the Bundesliga, so this will be a difficult fixture for M’gladbach and a surprise defeat could be in-store. (0-1) L

SC Freiburg (A) – M’gladbach won the previous fixture 4-2 and will be hoping for a similar result in this fixture. Out of the last 14 meetings between this sides Freiburg have won six times with M’Gladbach winning four and the rest draws. This game will be closely contested and could either team could steal all three points. (2-3) L

Bayern Munich (A) – The special rivalry between the two sides will be re-ignited and will serve up another classic. Both team were powerhouses in the 1970’s and shared the title in nine consecutive seasons; however, M’gladbach have fallen away from the glory since then. M’gladbach beat Bayern 2-1 in the fixture earlier on in the season and will be hoping history repeats itself again but it will not be easy. (1-1) D

Wolfsburg (H) – A 91st minute goal for Wolfsburg saw them take all three points when they won 2-1. M’gladbach have only won once in the previous eight meetings in the league, back in 2018. However, if M’gladbach are wanting qualify for the Champions League for the first time in four seasons they will need to break this poor streak. (3-1) W

SC Paderborn (A) – M’gladbach comfortably took all three points in the reverse fixture when they won 2-0. Paderborn will struggle to claim any points against M’gladbach and have lost all three meetings between the sides in the Bundesliga. Anything but a M’gladbach victory will be a huge surprise. (0-2) W

Hertha Berlin (H) – The final game of the season will be crucial for M’gladbach as they are more likely to be fighting for their Champions League spot, rather than the league. The sides played out a 0-0 draw earlier on in the season but it is unlikely another goalless draw will occur. M’gladbach will definitely need to win their final game of the season but it will be a tough task as Hertha Berlin are still not completely safe from relegation. (1-0) W

Check out how the final standings in the Bundesliga table look, following our predictions:

Dortmund went on a spectacular nine-game unbeaten run to win the Bundesliga. The four-point lead that Bayern Munich had, was eventually squashed when they lost to Borussia Dortmund and drew back-to-back games against Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Mönchengladbach. RB Leipzig and Borussia Mönchengladbach position in the table did not alter as they finished third and fourth respectively. Håland has already proven to be a perfect addition and will need to be Dortmund’s key man if they are to go on and win the Bundesliga.

Is is still all to play for...

Based upon current league standings, Bayern Munich have the toughest fixtures, with Dortmund second, Mönchengladbach third and RB Leipzig have the easiest run in.

It is Bayern Munich’s title to lose, as they have a four-point lead and play second and fourth place in their final nine games. If Dortmund beat Bayern it will not be enough, as they will need another team to take points from Bayern. RB Leipzig will be looking to claim their first-ever Bundesliga title in their history, whilst Dortmund will be looking to become the tied-second most successful team in Bundesliga history. M’gladbach have an outside chance to win the league but they will need to win the majority if not all of their games if they want to win the league for the first time in over 40 years. M’gladbach are more likely to be in a battle with Leverkusen for the Champions League rather than the league title race.

It is set to be a great finish to the end of the German season and football fans all around the world cannot wait for the Bundesliga to kick-off on Saturday!
