Seattle vs LAFC preview: How to watch, team news, predicted lineups and ones to watch

The Seattle Sounders look to maintain their unbeaten start to the 2021 Major League Soccer season when they host LAFC at Lumen Field.

Seattle sits atop the Western Conference standings with 13 points from their first five games while LAFC have only tallied five points through four games.

Team news

Goalkeeper Stefan Frei will be out of action after injuring his knee while midfielder Jordy Delem also exited the midweek win over San Jose with injury. 

The duo join captain Nicolas Lodeiro (knee pain), Josh Atencio (quad strain) and Jimmy Madranda (hamstring strain) on the sidelines.

Ones to watch

Raul Ruidiaz has been one of the key players for the Sounders so far this season, having scored five goals while Rossi will be looked upon to carry the load for LAFC in the continued absence of Vela.

Previous meeting

Having played less than a month ago, the two teams played to a 1-1 draw at Banc of California Stadium.

LAFC struck in the second minute courtesy of a Eduard Atuesta free kick. Seattle leveled through a Brad Smith 54th-minute header.

The match will be televised by Fox Sports 1 with kickoff scheduled for 9:30 Eastern time.
