In their last Copa Libertadores match, they had a victory; however, the Paraguayan team does not have good numbers at home and have wet powder, after one win, one draw and one loss, games in which they only scored one goal.

For their part, the Carioca team has two wins and a draw, games in which they scored six goals and conceded three. Brazil's offense is expected to shine in Paraguay and win a narrow victory, enough to be able to settle the second leg at home.

Fluminense coach Roger Machado arrived in the Paraguayan capital without three of his top scorers, Uruguayan Abel Hernández, Paraguayan Raúl Bobadilla and Fred, who are injured. Fluminense's top scorer. He suffers from edema in his right leg.  Hernandez has inflammation in his Achilles tendon and Bobadilla has not recovered from a right calf injury.
