We know the Brazilian team, but who are the highlights of the Ivory Coast

Led by AC Milan's Franck Yannick Kessié, the 24-year-old was one of the over-age players called up by the Ivory Coast, which managed to get most of its players released for the tournament. Besides him, there is Manchester United striker Amad Diallo. A speedy and technically gifted winger, he was developed by Atalanta, from Italy, and began to gain projection at United last season. Besides the 19-year-old, the Elephants also have the leadership of Max Gradel, 33 years old.

Vale Leadership

As they won their opening match, the teams have the same three points. Brazil has an advantage on goal difference and is in first place. Ivory Coast is in the rearview mirror, in second place.

July 25, 2021 3:00 AM ET

Ivorians start on the right foot

Ivory Coast was already lucky in the first goal. The Saudi Arabia defender went to cut out a throw-in and sent it against his own goal. Al-Dawsari made it even in the first half, but Kessié made it 2-1 for the Elephants.

July 25, 2021 2:55 AM ET

Almost ends in disaster

Repeating the duel of the Rio 2016 final, the Brazilian team started dominating Germany in the opening game. They could have scored, but wasted several chances, including a penalty kick. With the score 3-0, the Brazilian team grew and took advantage of the few opportunities to score two goals. An easy victory almost turned into a nightmare. Paulinho came off the bench and scored 4-2.
