What is the format of Russia 2021 like?

The tournament is divided into two phases: the group stage and the knockout stage. In the first, the 16 countries were divided into four sectors, each with four members; they will face their three rivals, and the first two places in each group will advance to the next round.

The qualifiers will play in the quarterfinals, followed by the semifinals, the third-place match and the final. All these rounds will be played in a single match.
