San Siro

Construction of the stadium began in 1925 in the San Siro district. This is the origin of one of its names. Years later, in 1980, it was renamed the Giuseppe Meazza stadium, in recognition of the former Inter and Milan player. The stadium was built for Milan, but since 1947 Inter has also been using the facilities. The coliseum currently retains both names. It is called San Siro when Milan plays its matches and Giuseppe Meazza when Inter plays.

With a capacity for 80,018 people, its modern architectural style is a symbol for the people of Milan. In addition to soccer matches, it has hosted musical events, such as concerts by singers like Bob Marley, Bruce Springsteen or U2, European soccer championship finals or world boxing championships.

A 94th minute goal, which resulted in a 2-1 loss to Spezia, spoiled Venice's first top flight home game in nearly 20 years at the newly restored Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo. Late action has been typical in their engagements, with each of the last three clashes witnessing a goal during or after the 89th minute -- all conceded by the "Lagunari".
On a more positive note, Venezia have found the back of the net in two consecutive SA matches, meaning they will have at least one chance to break down Milan's solid defense. That said, the visitors have scored two or more goals only twice in their last nine away league appearances.

AC Milan

After a draw against Juventus that saw them come from behind after conceding a goal in the fourth minute, AC Milan remain unbeaten in Serie A (SA) this season (G3, E1), and are targeting a first title since 2011 amidst a tightly contested top five. The record of three wins in their last four home matches is also encouraging, with the "Rossoneri" also conceding just one goal in those outings.
The meetings between these two sides have been dominated by AC Milan since the first edition in 1939 (G15, E7, P4), and the visitors have won on a visit to their rivals just once -- in the distant 1942/43 campaign. A repeat of this seems highly unlikely, given that Milan have won five (L1) of their last six SA games against newly promoted sides, keeping a clean sheet and taking the win by a margin of two or more goals.
