He is happy

Antonio Conte has not been able to deny his happiness at taking the reins of Tottenham who, although not in a crisis, are not in the places where they were expected to be and he is on a mission to ensure that this star-studded team can develop better soccer.

November 4, 2021 2:14 PM ET

They are on a roll

Vitesse is on a high after winning four out of five of their last four matches in any competition, including the first leg against Tottenham, where they won by the narrowest of margins.

Thus they arrived

It was in high spirits and very cold that the Spurs players arrived to recognize the pitch on this cold night in England.

November 4, 2021 2:04 PM ET

A new era

Patience ran out quickly with Nuno Espiritu, after Spurs were beaten at home on Saturday by a Manchester United side that had just been humiliated by Liverpool. Tottenham's objective is clear: to climb to the top of the Premier League and advance to the top of the Conference League.

Vitesse: repeat the dose

If Vitesse of the Netherlands want to take the victory, they will have to repeat the dose of the English team as they did in the first match: well stopped at the back without giving spaces and capitalizing on the many or few plays they have in front of the opponent's goal; on Saturday they defeated Heerenveen 2-1 as visitors in the Eredivisie.

November 4, 2021 1:14 PM ET

A new era

Patience ran out for the Spurs board and Nuno Espiritu Santos was sacked after poor results and his place was quickly taken by an old acquaintance, Antonio Conte, who will not be on the bench, but will already be analyzing his new team from the stands.

November 4, 2021 1:09 PM ET

Tottenham: back to winning ways

Tottenham has not looked good neither in the Premier League nor in the Conference League where they are third, which is why they will have to improve a lot both offensively and defensively and take advantage of their home advantage this time, not like what happened last Saturday when they were beaten 3-0 at the hands of Manchester United.
