Pia Sundhage projects a different posture from the women's team, especially in decision making.

"We need to adjust our defense especially in the lanes and help each other defend in a better way. The word I would say is compactness and also decision making. It's a bit complicated, but I believe that in the next game following these steps we will play better. When it comes to attacking, we had a lot of spaces in the midfield, mainly between the defense and the middle, but also behind our defensive line. We need to adjust this without being predictable, that's the key. I am very eager to see how we will build on that game idea in the next match."

Coach Tony Gustavsson expects to see his charges with the same momentum as last game, but expects better when they receive the ball in front of goal.

"We can have a consecutive performance and play with the same intensity, with the same energy, with the same commitment and mentality. [...] The number of times we took our attack into the final third, statistically it was very, very, very good in the last game. But after we got to the final third, I think sometimes we speed things up."

Australia had no difficulties to beat Brazil by 3 to 1. The Matildas knew how to better define their attack, scoring a goal in the first half and two more after the break. In turn, the Brazilian team could not intimidate the goal of Williams. Pia Sundhage's team improved with the substitutions, with striker Adriana, from Corinthians, scoring the consolation goal for the Canarinha.
