Sean Dyche (Burnley Coach) pre-match statement

"I think they [Chelsea] are using good players wisely, a very strong squad. They've spent a lot of money to strengthen, that investment, as well as the coaching, is paying off. I thought Frank [Lampard] was doing a good job personally, but the new coach has definitely had an effect."

"There is a gap between teams that play like us compared to superpower teams, especially when they go good, which Chelsea are. can it be done? Yes, we've experienced it in the past and we've put in performances that can win against these teams."

"But it's difficult. We focus on the mentality. I know people on the outside don't give you a chance. But our mentality inside gives us a chance, that's for sure, we think nothing but how we can work as a team to get something out of the game, that's a win."

"You have to be tied to reality in the Premier League. It's not easy to win games, it's not something that happens all the time. And when it's teams like us, they lose some games, and that's hard to accept. But there has to be a consistency in who you are, what you do, and I think we have a good balance in that. Then when the wins come, of course, it adds to the feel-good factor."

"I think we try to maintain a positive place here anyway, with the players and the staff and the way we operate. I think we're a positive kind of thinking unit, regardless of what the challenges are. But it adds to that when you win games, of course."

Thomas Tuchel (Chelsea Coach) pre-match statement

Chelsea it is a very united group and a pleasure to manager, it’s exactly how we want it. I don’t like comparisons because I liked all my teams. I think you can only be successful if you like your teams and become a part of it. I am not so sure what you saw on social media! It worries me a little bit what our guys put out there but it’s nice to be here everyday".

"It’s a big part to laugh together and enjoy our time. We know exactly in the end when the game arrives, you need the mix to enjoy the moment and feel free, to feel the freedom and be creative and courageous in the game. At the same time you need to be aware that you know what’s coming, how hard it can be in the Premier League again. You want the full focus".

We came quite a long way. We looked at the pictures again to understand what we did good. It is like this. So far we haven’t played in Burnley so hopefully we arrive and we are looking forward. Everyone is talking about the very difficult atmosphere you face at Burnley".

"It was very quick, second match against Burnley with only some days preparation. We know each other much better but on the other hand you know what you get when you face Burnley. They have a clear identity, they have a manager who is in charge for many years. You can see the mentality from the coach on the pitch, on his team. We try to have the same output that we can win. Will be a tough one”.

Chelsea vs Burnley history

These two teams have met 78 times in the Premier League since 1913. The statistics favor, although it seems incredible, the Vinotintos, who have been victorious on 33 occasions, while the Blues have been victorious on 29 occasions and have drawn 16 times so far.

Burnley needs to get out of the red zone

The team coached by Sean Dyche is not going through a good moment, despite a very important victory over Brentford in the previous matchday. Being in the relegation zone will never be comfortable and that is why they need to get a victory that will help them at least to match several rivals in points.

Chelsea, to keep the first place

Thomas Tuchel's team arrives to this match with an unbeatable present, coming from winning in the Champions League during the week and in the Premier League meets the expectations, so much so that so far has 25 points out of a possible 30 and above all, solitary leader, so in this match against Burnley will seek to maintain this rythm.
