Goals and Highlights: Malmo 1-1 Zenit in Champions League
Zenit, with 10 men, qualify for the UEFA Europa League after drawing in the last minute with Malmö. Danish midfielder Sören Rieks scored Malmö's first goal in this edition of the UEFA Champions League to give the Swedish champions the lead. Zenit missed a chance to equalize from the penalty spot starting the second half, and then were left with 10 men for the expulsion of Dmitri Chistyakov in the 86th minute. However, in the last gasp of the game Rieks fouled Artem Dzubya in the area and Yaroslav Rakitskiy scored from the penalty spot. With this result, Zenit reaches four points, ensuring they finish third in the group behind Chelsea and Juventus. Malmö scored their first point but lost to Zenit and has a much smaller goal difference so they will finish last in Group H.
