Meanwhile, the team coached by Carlos Gutiérrez had a good end to the championship that allowed them to reach this phase, where they will try to advance. They placed ninth with 23 points, after six wins, three draws and seven losses; they scored 17 goals for and 19 against.

Cimarrones de Sonora, to take advantage of home advantage

The team led by Gabriel Pereyra went from strength to strength in the final stretch of the campaign but will still seek to reach the next phase. They finished in eighth place with 24 points, the result of six wins, three draws and seven defeats; they scored 22 goals and conceded the same 22.

What is the Reclassification Phase?

It is the round prior to the Quarterfinals, which is disputed by eight teams, which are ranked from fifth to twelfth place in the standings: Pumas Tabasco, Leones Negros UDG, Tampico Madero, Cimarrones Sonora, Venados FC, Mineros Zacatecas, Correcaminos UAT and Tepatitlán FC.

The playoffs will be played to a single match, which will be played at the home of the highest-ranked club; in the event of a tie after regulation time, the qualification will be defined through a penalty shootout.

The institutions that advanced directly to the next stage are Dorados Sinaloa, Atlante FC, Atlético Morelia and Celaya FC.
