Statement by Marco Rose (Dortmund Coach)

"Now Bayern will come here soon, but before that we have a difficult game in Wolfsburg. It's the German Bundesliga, you don't get anything for free. But we are Borussia Dortmund and we have ambitious goals."

"We have trained and regenerated. The game against Sporting Lisbon still has an effect, it was a bitter end. However, we are now moving on. My job is to bring the energy back now. We want to get things going in the right direction again."

"We have to point out mistakes and talk about them. There are always situations where we have to be more consistent and more vigilant, all together. It's about being uncompromising in the crucial spaces."

"Wolfsburg had little turnover in the squad. With new coach Flo Kohfeldt, they have more strength and dynamism again."

Statement by Florian Kohfeldt (Wolfsburg Coach)

"Dortmund didn't have their best day during the week, but there is still a lot of quality in this team. I'm looking forward to the game because there is a lot of individual quality on both sides, which I hope will translate into a good team performance. We can't count on Dortmund being touched in any way. The team will have a lot of anger inside."

"I am convinced that we are absolutely capable of playing in Bundesliga and Champions League. We can swap one position or the other and bring fresh strength. We are in very good physical shape, so a big compliment to the medical department and all the teammates around us. I also don't think the constellation poses any particular mental challenge in this English week. Everyone wants to prove from the start that we are going to be there this Saturday. That's why I'm not worried about a possible double burden."

"With Marco Rose I did the soccer teacher course, we've known each other since then and we've always been in touch. He is a top person with a great character, with whom I also exchange ideas independently of soccer. I also think a lot of him as a coach. He always has solutions ready and seems to be able to bring a lot of energy to a team. I think he is one of the best coaches in Germany and I hold him in high regard."

Borussia Dortmund is on the prowl for the lead, after taking advantage of Bayern's stumble in the previous matchday to get closer. However, they have just suffered a tough defeat against Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Champions League, which practically condemned them to play in the Europa League, but they hope that in this match they can improve with respect to the aforementioned game.
