"I have to constantly concentrate on improving my defending but it’s really important that I help the team in the opposition’s box as well. With the players that we have, we want to be on the front foot all the time, we want to play, we want to pass".

"When you are a man down you have to accept that won’t be the case and all the work you have to do is going to be hard. But we did it so well. If it wasn’t for the little hiccup for their goal it would have been a ten-out-of-ten defensive performance".

“It’s back to winning ways and back to winning habits and I think that will kick-start us again to do what we were doing a few games ago".

“It’s hard to jump straight back to winning but what we did against Hull was give a good account of ourselves, we did that again against Blackpool and when we do that, we will win more often than not. This has to be the catalyst for us going into the Blackburn game. We need to go again, go again and go again".

“We have to forget about what we achieved against Blackpool, we have to focus on Blackburn now, this is a really important game. We know the threat they bring. It is going to be difficult going to their place but now that our performances are back we have to be confident going into it".

“QPR are having a really good season. They’re a team who you wouldn’t say have a huge budget in this league and Mark’s done a very, very good job. They have a lot of good players and they deserve to be where they are in the league".

“For us to think that we can go above QPR should we win and potentially back up to third position, it should be a real boost for everybody. We’ll go into the contest with great confidence and belief that we can get the right result."

“We haven’t been in this position during my time here, competing in the top six. We’ve been trying to get in there in previous seasons, we’re not afraid of it though and we’re trying to enjoy it.”
