The Seattle Sounders begin a two-match road trip as they take on Nashville SC at GEODIS Park.

A 3-0 defeat to rivals Portland was Seattle's second in their last three matches and leaves them a point out of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Nashville dropped a 4-1 decision to Charlotte to run their winless streak to three matches and sit one place and one point in front of their visitors in the standings.

Robert Castellanos is out after having surgery on his right ankle and Anibal Godoy joins him on the sidelines with a thigh injury.

Joao Paulo remains sidelined with an ACL tear, Obed Vargas is missing through a stress fracture in his lower back and Raul Ruidiaz has a left hamstring strain that will keep him out.

Xavier Arreaga ia questionable with a hamstring strain.

Hany Mukhtar (Nashville SC)

Just named to the All-Star team, Mukhtar has scored in his last four matches, raising his season total to ten in the league and 13 across all competitions.

He leads MLS in shots (75) and shots on goal (42) and is tied for second in goal contributions (15) showing why he is the heart and soul of the Nashville attack.

Jordan Morris (Seattle Sounders)

After missing all of last year with an ACL tear, Morris has rebounded by scoring five goals, tied with Raul Ruidiaz for the team lead and three assists, tied for third.

He was named to the All-Star team for the first time in his career, a deserving reward for a player that has overcome a devastating injury to become a major contributor for the Sounders.

Previous meetings

In the first-ever meeting between the two sides, Nashville claimed a 1-0 victory in the season opener for both teams.

With heavy precipitation, there were few good chances as the Gold and Blue made their Western Conference debut after two seasons in the East.

In the end, a cross from Randall Leal found Anibal Godoy, who had an easy tap-in to seal the victory in the 80th minute.
