These teams have met on three occasions. Celtic have beaten them twice and in the other match Blackburn won. Celtic in the previous match beat Ostrava with superiority. The Czech side took the lead with Sehic's goal. A few minutes later Furuhashi scored the equalizer. After overcoming an intense start by the home team, Celtic came back with a goal by O'riley in the 24th minute. The first half ended with a 1-2 scoreline. The second half started with Giakoumakis' goal to make it 1-3. Tijani pulled one back for Ostrava but it was to no avail as Abada scored after three minutes. In the end, Celtic won 2-4 on Czech soil.
