Oscar Pareja takes his Orlando City side to Bank of America Stadium to face Charlotte FC, hoping to win back-to-back league games for the first time since April.

Charlotte bounced back from a 5-0 defeat away at LAFC to beat NYCFC 3-1 at Red Bull Arena on Wednesday night. CLTFC broke the deadlock early through striker Karol Świderski - the 25-year-old's 8th of the season. NYC were level in the 28th minute through center-back Maxine Chanot; however, two late goals from Brandt Bronico and Christian Fuchs saw the visitors move up to 10th, just one point away from the playoff line.

The Lions picked up a much-needed three points last weekend, defeating the New York Red Bulls 1-0. Facundo Torres' goal in the 17th minute was enough for Orlando to win their first league game since July 9th.

The final playoff spot is currently occupied by the Lions - only sitting a point behind the Columbus Crew in 5th and 3 points above the Chicago Fire in 12th - making this a crucial match for both teams.

• Team news

The Crown face no new injury concerns from their trip to New Jersey. Adam Armour and Vinicius Mello both remain out.

Meanwhile, Orlando will be without Alexandre Pato after he was forced off with a knee injury at Red Bull Arena. The club is still confirming his diagnosis to determine the extent of the injury. João Moutinho will also miss out through suspension.

On a brighter note, Designated Player striker Ercan Kara was back in training this week after missing the last few games through injury. The Austrian, who leads Orlando for goals this season, is listed as questionable.

• Predicted lineups

Charlotte: Kahlina, Fuchs, Sobocinski, Walkes, Lindsey, Bronico, Bender, McNeill, Jóźwiak, Gaines, Świderski.

Orlando City: Gallese, Smith, Jansson, Antonio Carlos, Ruan, Cartagena, Araújo, Torres, Pereyra, Urso, Michel.

• Ones to watch

Karol Świderski

Charlotte's top scorer, Karol Świderski, is one that Orlando's defense will want to keep a close eye on.

Signed from PAOK in the offseason, Świderski has been Christian Lattanzio's main man when it comes to goals. The Polish striker has scored 8 goals in 23 MLS appearances this year.

Facundo Torres

'El Cuervo' is starting to hit his stride, having signed from Peñarol for a reported $7.5M in the offseason.

The Uruguayan has scored five goals and registered six assists in league play. Torres is a left winger by trade, but can also be used as an inverted winger on the right side.

Having fellow Uruguayan and team captain Mauricio Pereyra by his side has helped the 22-year-old grow accustomed to soccer in the United States, with the two linking up well on the field.

• Last time out

The last and only meeting between the two sides was in May of this year in Orlando.

The Lions opened the scoring after Benji Michel was fed the ball on the left wing; the Orlando native's cross was flicked on by Robin Jansson into the path of Ruan, who smashed the ball past Kristijan Kahlina.

Just before half-time, the home side doubled their advantage after a Charlotte corner was cleared away to Ruan who sprinted the length of the field before squaring to Facundo Torres - leaving Kahlina helpless.

Charlotte pulled a goal back in the second period through a penalty kick by skipper Christian Fuchs. The Austrian waited for Pedro Gallese to commit before slotting his penalty the other side of El Pulpo's goal.

Fuchs' goal gave Charlotte the momentum in the closing stages as they searched for an equalizer, but solid defending from Oscar Pareja's side made sure the three points stayed in Central Florida.

• How to watch

Fans in the Charlotte area can watch the action unfold live on WAXN, while Fox 35 Plus will be the destination for the Orlando fans. The game will also be streamed nationally on ESPN+.

Kick-off is set for 7:00PM ET.
