The Guerreros de la Comarca Lagunera traveled to La Bella Airosa, to the Hidalgo Stadium to face the Pachuca Tuzos at home and in front of their own fans, with the objective of getting the three points and returning to Torreón victorious. However, plans got out of control when Nicolás Ibáñez put the ball into the net at the 54th minute and minutes later, "Chofis" López scored the second goal at the 77th minute to seal the victory for the locals by a final score of 2-0.
