The Tunisian National Team defeated Iran in their last friendly match. In June they won the Kirin Cup after beating Japan 0-3. They qualified for the Qatar 2022 World Cup after beating Mali in the play-off, thanks to Sissako's own goal in the first leg, which gave them the qualification.
