Ana Konjuh and Urzsula Radwanska meet in a first round match at the Australian Open. The younger Radwanska sister is looking to make her mark at a Grand Slam but will need to get through the youngster first.

Radwanska's 2015 Season And Notable Slam Results

The younger of the Radwanska sisters, Urszula reached her 2nd career tour-level final in Istanbul last year, losing to Lesia Tsurenko. She also reached the quarterfinals in Auckland as a qualifier, losing to Lauren Davis and in Monterrey again as a qualifier, losing to eventual champion Timea Bacsinszky.

She's never been past the second Round of any major in her career, although she had a notable upset of Venus Williams at the 2013 French Open. Last year at the majors, she lost in the first Round of the Australian Open to Zarina Diyas, couldn't get out of qualifying at the French Open, falling to Yung-Jan Chan in the opening round and was defeated by fellow Pole Magda Linette in the first round. Had she won, she would've faced sister Agnieszka in the second round. Her only win at a Slam was at Wimbledon, defeating Edina Gallovits-Hall before losing to Samantha Stosur in the second round.

Konjuh's 2015 Season And Notable Slam Results

Konjuh broke through to win her first career WTA title in Nottingham last year, defeating Monica Niculescu in the final to become the youngest title winner on tour since 2006. She fared a little better than Radwanska at the Slams last year, winning a match at the French Open over Margarita Gasparyan before winning only two games - Irina-Camelia Begu and also winning a match at the U.S. Open by knocking off Tatjana Maria before being upset by lucky loser Daria Kasatkina.

She lost in the first round of the Australian Open to Magdalena Rybarikova and at Wimbledon to Alizé Cornet. Her best result at a major is reaching the third Round of Wimbledon in 2014 as a 16-year old qualifier.

Head-To-Head

Radwanska leads 2-1. The Pole rallied for a win in the 1st Round of qualifying at the U.S. Open in 2014. Konjuh won a close 2-setter in Indian Wells qualifying while Radwanska came back the next week to rout the Croat in Miami qualifying.

What to expect:

The match is on Konjuh's racket. At only 18, she tremendous power and pace on her serve and groundstrokes. Although Radwanska hits the ball hard, her pace and depth of shot are not in the same league as the Croat.

The key to the match will be who can attack the other's 2nd serve and who can get out to a lead. In their three prior matches, there has only been one tiebreak set and one other set that went to 6-4 out of the 7 sets they have played.

Prediction: Konjuh in 3 sets. She's more mature than she has been in the past and a long break from injury should do her some good. Expect her booming serve to be the difference.
