The full entry list for the Istanbul Cup, to be held from the 18th-24th April, has announced its full entry list for this year's tournament, with Victoria Azarenka and Caroline Wozniacki still set to headline.
Azarenka and Wozniacki had previously been confirmed for the tournament, alongside the likes of Brits Heather Watson and Laura Robson, though 21 of the 32 spots in the tournament have now been filled, with qualifiers and wild cards to be added.
Azarenka And Wozniacki Headline
Former world number ones Azarenka and Wozniacki are by far the biggest stars set to be in action in Istanbul.
Azarenka, who has returned to the top ten this season for the first time in almost two years, is making her first appearance at the tournament and will be the favorite for the title.
Wozniacki missed the tournament last year but won the title in 2014, defeating Roberta Vinci in the final, and the Dane will be looking for a similar performance on her return.
Defending Champion Tsurenko Returns
Lesia Tsurenko is returning to Istanbul to defend the title, and is set to be the fourth seed at the tournament.
The Ukranian won her first and currently only career title at the tournament last year and will be looking for a similar performance this season, following a disappointing start to 2016.
Tsurenko will not be the only Ukranian taking part in Istanbul, with Kateryna Bondarenko also entered into the tournament.
More Players In Action
Several other well-known WTA stars are set to be in action, with the likes of Camila Giorgi, Yanina Wickmayer and Kirsten Flipkens all set to be in action.
Struggling Anna Karolina Schmiedlova is also set to be in action, with the likes of Karin Knapp, Yaroslava Shvedova, Nao Hibino and Petra Cetkovska also looking to pick up some form in Istanbul.
America has one representative in Irina Falconi, with Su-Wei Hsieh, Lucie Hradecka, Johanna Larsson, Danka Kovinic and Yulia Putintseva the remaining players in the draw.
Van Uytvanck Pulls Out
Belgium's Alison Van Uytvanck was set to play in Istanbul, but has had to pull out with injury.
It was announced today that Van Uytvanck had undergone heel surgery, and will be out until at least after the French Open.
