Tamara Zidansek has withdrawn from the US Open. The 22-year-old Slovenian is currently ranked 73 in the world in singles and has played twice since the return of tennis from its postponement. She played in the Palermo Ladies Open, losing to Oceane Dodin in three sets. The following week she played in Prague, losing to Eugenie Bouchard in her second-round match.

Anhelina Kalinina has now moved into the main draw. Kalinina is currently 145th in the world and last played at the Indian Wells Challenger which took place in March.

Withdrawals Adding Up

Zidansek is the most recent withdrawal to the women's draw of the US Open after Jelena Ostapenko and Carla Suarez Navarro withdrew a couple of days ago. Other notable withdrawals on the women's side include Elina Svitolina, Kiki Bertens, defending champion Bianca Andreescu, two-time major champion Simona Halep, and more.
