Perhaps the world’s hottest free agent, Shinsuke Nakamura has now officially signed with WWE, after weeks of speculation and rumors the deal has finally been announced by the company, casting any doubt aside. 

The news has been known for a very long time by the WWE Universe but that does not take away from the fact that WWE has signed arguably one of its biggest names in recent years, in the form of the former New Japan star, with the announcement happening on Monday morning in his homeland of Japan.

Nakamura signed after a whirlwind tour in the United States of America in which he took in all the stops, as he visited WWE World Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut and the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Triple H was highly complementary of the newest signing to NXT, speaking on Nakamura he said, “His explosive style will make an immediate impact to an already dynamic NXT men’s division,” he continued “Talent is the lifeblood of our company, and the signing of Shinsuke Nakamura further demonstrates NXT’s commitment to bringing in the best talent from all over the world.”

Nakamura is a 14 year veteran of the professional wrestling industry, and is known to have a rather hard-hitting style which has earned him the nickname 'King of Strong Style', he was a three-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion a championship previously held by some of the greats of the business such as Antonio Inoki, Vader, The Great Muta and AJ Styles to name but a few.

Throughout his career Nakamura has done battle with some of the best names in the business, like Styles, NXT Champion Finn Bálor, Kevin Owens, Hideo Itami, WWE Performance Center Head Coach Matt Bloom and even the fearsome Brock Lesnar.

Now Nakamura has come to WWE he will look to make a name for himself on the biggest stage possible as he furthers his career, and the most exciting news for WWE fans is that the Japanese star will make his debut WrestleMania week as NXT hosts NXT: Takeover Dallas, meaning fans don't have to wait long for his arrival.
