According to the Wrestling News Observer, The Rock had WWE Officials “freaking outduring his return promo on Monday Night Raw

During a 26 minute uninterrupted segment during last weeks Monday Night Raw, the returning Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson went off script by acknowledging fans dressed as former superstars Hulk Hogan, The Macho Man Randy Savage and The Undertaker at ringside.

Hogan is a contentious issue in the WWE after his firing last year after an audio tape was leaked with Hogan being heard to make racist comments. There is little to no mention of him on the WWE’s website, similar to the that of Chris Benoit.

Johnson also made a number of references to drug substances, a huge don’t while on air in the current WWE PG product.

The mentioning of the fans looked to be like The Rock was trying to kill the crowds chants for the fans at ringside. The three fans in question reportedly had to be told to calm down by WWE and arena security during the match between Kane and Bray Wyatt. The Rock gave the fans their few seconds in the limelight and went on with his promo.

However, since it was The Rock he is seemingly untouchable when it comes to promos and actions in the WWE as that isn’t his primary job, nor is he reliant on them for a pay cheque. Had the incident occurred with the superstars of the likes of Dolph Ziggler or Wade Barrett they may have come under a lot more attention and suffered much heavier consequences than The Rock.

When he was congratulated on Twitter about the segment, The Rock responded jokingly to a fan by saying: “Ha well at @WWE events, going "off script" is what I live for. So much fun for the fans. Nightmare for Vince.”
