Last Night saw the final stop on the "Road to WrestleMania"at WWE Fast Lane which saw Roman Reigns punch his ticket to the main event of WrestleMania, as well as Kalisto, Kevin Owens & Charlotte defend their respective titles, and AJ Styles proving that he deserves his place in WWE and The Titans proved that they are not ready to go away just yet.

Yet despite that, the event had an air of predictability which has left many fans looking back at the show with disappointment.

Sasha Banks & Becky Lynch v Team B.A.D

Ahead of this match all the talk was about the rather tumultuous relationship between Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch, who seemed to be very distrustful of each other, and from the outset of this match it seemed as though the two former NXT divas just could not get on the same page as they argued over who would start the match.

Then to further their problems Lynch decided to tag herself into the match causing more friction between the unlikely pair, yet despite all this tension Banks and Lynch showed some nice cohesion when they did work together.

After back and forth exchanges with Tamina and Naomi, Lynch was finally able to tag in 'The Boss' who came in like a house on fire, immediately attempting to lock in the Bank Statement but Naomi had other ideas and Team B.A.D beat the former NXT Women's Champion down, with Naomi managing to connect with the Rear View, but she could not put Banks away.

The Boss rallied and put Tamina into the Bank Statement while Becky Lynch locked in the dis-arm-her on Naomi who tried to interfere and the match was over, so it just goes to show that the worst of enemies can also make the best of friends.

Kevin Owens v Dolph Ziggler (Intercontinental Championship Match)

After he regained the Intercontinental Championship on Monday Night RAW Kevin Owens seemed even more confident as he took on Dolph Ziggler in a match that surely ended as a contender for Match of The Year, as this was the most stellar match throughout their feud as both men put it all on the line to win gold. Straight out of the gates Owens used his power to try and dominate Ziggler, with an Irish-Whip into the corner felt by everybody, which and this gave Owens an early advantage.

The Show-off absorbed a lot of punishment after that brutal move, however all it takes in WWE is one moment of indecision and you will be back in the match, and that is exactly what happened as Owens began taunting his opponent, which allowed Ziggler back into the match.

Ziggler got a good offensive flurry in but the damage to his shoulder was just too much, and Owens took control of the bout once again, throughout the match Ziggler showed a "Never Say Die" attitude which kept him in the match.

Then as the bout drew to a close Ziggler channeled his inner 'Heartbreak Kid' and tuned up the band, but as he was going to hit the kick, Owens avoided it and nailed the match-ending Pop-Up Powerbomb to retain the Intercontinental Title.

The Wyatt Family v WWE's Titans

The Wyatt Family looked to take down some of WWE's Titans at Fast Lane but this was a valiant victory for Big Show, Ryback and Kane, the match began, as expected, at a hard hitting pace with Erick Rowan and Ryback going at it hammer and tongs trading hard shots.

Then Ryback found himself on the wrong end of a beat down by the Wyatt Family, but The Big Guy willed himself to his corner and tagged in Kane who had said that they were going to take the Wyatt Family to hell during this match.

After a long back and forth between both teams a huge hit on Braun Strowman by Big Show left an opening for Ryback to set up Luke Harper for Shell-Shocked, whilst Kane disposed of an interfering Bray Wyatt with a big boot, and just like that The Titans gained the victory.

Charlotte v Brie Bella (Divas Championship Match)

What a month February turned out to be for Brie Bella, she had lows (the retirement of her husband and her sister sidelined with a neck injury) but Brie came into Fast Lane on a high, with the support of her husband (she wore his WrestleMania 30 kick pads) she faced Charlotte for the Divas Championship.

It looked from the outset of the match that Brie was trying to use all the emotion that has built up to good effect in her quest to become the Divas Champion, and once the bell rang both women tried to get a feel of the others skill.

Brie Bella was paying homage to her Nikki by using some of her moves, but Charlotte would not go away, after an intense back and forth between both champion and challenger which saw a Figure-Eight and a Yes Lock both divas were able to will themselves to the ropes.

However 'The Genetically Superior Diva' just had too much power, even for a fired-up Brie and the challenger would find herself in the Figure-Eight again but this time she had no option but to tap.

AJ Styles v Chris Jericho

It was considered by many to be match of the night, both of these extraordinary talents held a win over the other and this match had a lot to live up to, but it simply just raised the bar in this feud.

Chris Jericho and AJ Styles began this match by trying to scope out their respective opponents, as each second in the match passed it slowly began to get more and more intense, at one point in the match Jericho locked in his signature Walls of Jericho but AJ dug really deep to get to the ropes.

After AJ barely beat a 10-count he tasted the Code breaker, but whether he meant it or not AJ's hand managed to fall outside the ring meaning the ref could not count a pin, but Styles managed to rally and hit the Styles Clash for a near-fall but once he locked in the Calf Crusher the Walls were well and truly broken down.

Both competitors shook hands in the center of the ring, an immense show of respect that only comes from those who have pushed each other to the limit and beyond.

The Cutting Edge Peep Show

The last time that New Day were in the same place as Edge and Christian it was a funny segment and last night was no different, with some funny insults being thrown around such as "Out with the old, that's you [Edge and Christian], and in with The New Day" from Big E and The Rated-R Superstar telling the reigning WWE Tag Team Champions he had "never seen so much chocolate act so vanilla". Then after several minutes of back and forth, The League of Nations appeared and  The New Day and Edge and Christian eventually exited up the ramp, where both groups lobbed a few choice put-downs at the expense of The League of Nations.

Roman Reigns v Dean Ambrose v Brock Lesnar

With some much riding on the outcome of this match none of the combatants were going to give an inch, Lesnar started like a house on fire as only he can as he German Suplexed both of his opponents and he focused in on Roman Reigns after Ambrose was thrown from the ring.

The one thing that WWE seemed to get right was the way in which they packaged Ambrose in this match, as he showed guts, determination and insanity all in equal measure, but Lesnar's dominance was ended when he made one crucial mistake, taking the fight to the outside and with one well placed shot below the belt Reigns & Ambrose had an opportunity.

They took their chance not just once, but twice as the Beast was put through both the Spanish & normal announce table, making it the "Battle of the Brothers", the two began to fight until Lesnar began to stir and he returned to lock the Kimura Lock on Reigns who battled back to his feet, only for Ambrose to hit both men with a chair, taking Lesnar out of the match.

A Spear finished the match out of nowhere and Reigns is now on his way to WrestleMania, as he celebrated WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H came down to ring and both men stared at the WrestleMania sign.

Overall Thoughts

Now this Pay-Per-View has been criticized by a lot of WWE fans as they feel that it was a rather sad and predictable event, and they are right with three matches standing out in particular (For this author at least). Each of the matches mentioned below are the only reason that this event can be considered a mediocre event as opposed to a bad one.

  1. AJ Styles v Chris Jericho
  2. Dolph Ziggler v Kevin Owens
  3. Charlotte v Brie Bella

Event Rating- 6/10
