After a lengthy and successful career Brie Bella has decided to hang up her boots and join husband, Daniel Bryan in retirement. Her victory at WrestleMania as a part of Team Total Divas provided fans with their last chance to see Brie in the squared circle as she secured the victory for her team with the Yes Lock! Made famous by Bryan.
Whilst the WWE is yet to publicly acknowledge her decision, Brie herself has admitted her career is over by joking with fans that she, "Retired on the wrong day" after the Women's Championship was brought back as the company look to re-brand the division.
However the Bella twin placed an emotional message via her Instagram photo of her team celebrating their victory at this years 'Mania.
It stated;
"These women made my last night feel sooo special. To the #BellaArmy to every women I got in the ring with, to @wwe for living the dream...to my husband @bryanldanielson who taught me everything.. I love you all and I'm forever grateful!!! #Wrestlemania #briemode #mamabellamode"
The final hashtag of #mamabellamode perhaps was the greatest sign as to why she has made the decision to bring her career to a close, as she has made no secret of her desire to have children on the hit show Total Divas.
A Successful Career
When she debuted alongside her sister, Nikki Bella in 2008 most fans saw them as good looking women who didn't have the ability of former greats such as Lita. But throughout her career she wold go on to prove that she was fully dedicated to the business, becoming one of the most popular and successful Divas in history.
After proving popular with fans and showcasing the ability to work as both a heel and baby face Brie would capture the Divas Championship in 2011 by defeating Eve Torres becoming the first of the pair to win a title with the company.
She would eventually drop the belt to Kelly Kelly and never regained the title during her run with the WWE, but was involved in several title feuds coming just short each time. Along with her sister the two managed to create their own brand around the Bella Twins which has seen them become the main stars on Total Divas, feature on magazine's and even pursue acting careers.
Grandest Achievement
Despite having countless high points in her career which saw her perform on the biggest stages possible and be given amazing opportunities, perhaps her greatest moment was her feud with Stephanie McMahon in 2014 which saw them compete in one of the main event matches at the years SummerSlam.
Both women were able to have main event segments on RAW leading up to the event and put on a thoroughly entertaining match which had the fans fully invested, highlighting just how capable Brie was when given the opportunity.
With Nikki currently injured the future of the Bella Twins is certainly unclear but they will without doubt go down as two of the biggest names in women's wrestling.
