As one of the more exciting performers that will be competing within the Cruiserweight Classic, Jack Gallagher will head into the competition looking to display his own style of wrestling to the audience.

The 26-year-old admits he has his own preference of wrestling style and talks deeply about what his approach to performing against each opponent will be.

As one of the just two men representing Great Britain (with Noam Dar representing just Scotland), Gallagher will be hoping to do his home nation proud by the end of the tournament and plans to show the worldwide audience that will be tuning into the WWE Network, why his style of British wrestling is his own personal preference.

The performer has been wrestling for nearly a decade inside the squared circle and has experienced all styles of performing and has gained a great deal of respect for each one feeling that they all 'have their place' but finds it hard to look past his own inclination.

He said, "I have been a wrestler for nearly 10 years now, I think American wrestling has its place as does Lucha Libra have its place and Japanese wrestling has its place however I have a personal preference that is that the way I wrestle is the best way to wrestle."

Gallagher, who has achieved numerous success in his wrestling career including a GPW British Championship (Grand Pro Wrestling) goes on to talk in depth about what his style consists of saying it is 'incredibly scientific' and compared the sport of wrestling to 'chess'.

He said "My style is incredibly scientific with submission based mostly, wrestling is a human game of chess and even at the cruiserweight division I am definitely not the biggest person in here so I have to use my mind and my technique to defeat my opponent I cannot overwhelm them physically but if you give me opportunity I will submit or pin you as quick as possible."

The Extraordinary Gentleman clearly thinks about wrestling in a very deep manner and will be an interesting performer to watch and analyze when he faces off against off against Italian Fabian Richner in the opening round.

On gentlemanly conduct

Despite earning the 'gentleman' nickname, never let this be disguised as suggesting that Gallagher is anyway 'gentle' within the ring as he is prepared to go as hard as his opponent is in the battle to win the war.

He said, "To me, it (wrestling) is a sporting contest so I will keep it gentlemanly as long as the other person keeps it gentlemanly it is an opportunity for me and an opportunity is a chance to grow and challenge myself."

The man on the roster of Pro Wrestling Zero1 in Japan seems to have a clear game plan in mind when he heads into the match ups making his presence in the competition that much more dangerous.

On continuing British style

Despite performers from Britain not necessarily having a great deal of success they could have had in the WWE, their style in the world is well known, and despite a lack of influx in recent years, Gallagher is hoping that he can reinstate that, starting with the Cruiserweight Classic.

With names such as William Regal, Davey Boy Smith and Wade Barrett already high profile names within WWE, he is hoping to be next big name to come out of Britain.

He claimed it was an 'honor' to have been granted the chance to perform at the event and plans to receive some form of congratulations for his efforts one he has finished.

He said, "It is an honor to continue this lineage and show that British style is alive and well and hopefully it means I can get a lordship or a knighthood by the end of this."
