Eva Marie was set to make her in-ring debut against Becky Lynch on SmackDown Live on Tuesday but an "injury" to the former NXT star put a spanner in the works.

After playing to the crowd while climbing to the top rope the 31-year-old pulled up after jumping back down even before the match began.

The official went to check on The Red Queen before signaling to the trainer to carry out further assessment and after a brief consultation she was ruled unable to compete.

Despite her lack of in-ring action it seems as though she still has a hugely promising career in the WWE.

Future Plans

All fans of Mrs All Red Everything will be pleased to hear that the "injury" to Eva was all scripted and she is completely 100% healthy.

The fitness fanatic who regularly uploads workout routines on Snapchat attracted major heat from the WWE Universe due to her televised antics.

With the performer lacking any real matches over the past few months with her last bout coming on June 26 she is still being primed for a top spot among the females in the company.

The profile of the former manager continues to rise thanks to her presence on 'reality' show Total Divas and she has practically already cemented herself as the top female heel on SmackDown Live.

New Women's Title

With the news above suggesting that Eva is set to receive a push in the women's division it is interesting to note how the company according to Daniel Bryan are planning to reintroduce a number of new titles.

Monday Night Raw current dominates in terms of Championships with the United States Title, Tag-Team Championships and Women's Title all featured on the show.

SmackDown currently has just the WWE World Championship and the Intercontinental Title, and with the red brand set to introduce the Universal Championship the blue brand needs some more gold.

The current General Manager Bryan said recently that his brand would be creating a new set of Tag-Team Titles as well as a women's title.

WWE currently see Eva Marie as the epitome of what a female wrestling star should look like so this begs the question over whether she will be the first owner of the new Women's Championship on the blue brand.
