Anderson after the second test with Sri Lanka has taken his tally to 451 test wickets for England which is incredible and he will be hoping to add to it over the summer.

Anderson jumps ahead of Broad who moves down to number three

Anderson's haul of 18 wickets in the series has given him 884 ranking points with Broad on 869 in third with India's Ravichandran Ashwin second on 871 points.

Broad had been top of the rankings since January whenever he had an incredible series in South Africa but with Anderson taken 18 wickets in two tests against Sri Lanka, Broad who has taken 10 wickets himself in the series, has dropped down to number three in the rankings.

England play one more test against Sri Lanka before a four-match series against Pakistan so Anderson will be hoping to continue his great form throughout the summer.
