Big spending Paris Saint Germain are set to offer Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas by offering him a four-year contract worth £40 million. The newly crowned Ligue 1 winners have turned their attentions to the 34-year-old ex-Porto boss after number one target Guus Hiddink committed his future to Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala.

The Paris based side are confident of tempting AVB with Champions League football and a huge transfer budget. Since being taken over by the Quatari Investement Authority, PSG have spent over €200 million to assert their dominance in France's top division. There's no doubt that AVB would be provided with a sizeable sum of money to further improve an already impressive squad. Acquiring the service of AVB will be tricky, however.

It's reported Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy placed a £10 million buyout clause in AVB's contract. This may not be the biggest stumbling block for the French outfit, with the more likely obstacle being Levy's reluctance to let his manager go. With AVB guiding Tottenham to a record 72 points last season, Levy has trusted him with the position of taking the club forward. With star player Gareth Bale reported to dedicate his future to Tottenham because of his relationship with AVB, it's very unlikely Levy would want to lose two of the clubs most important people.
