After making way for Gael Clichy on Saturday afternoon, Aleksandar Kolarov may be heading back to Italy with Inter Milan after failing to hold down a first team place according to The Sun. Manuel Pellegrini's insistence on rotating the left-back position has seen both Clichy and Kolarov miss a number of big games this season, and the Serbian is growing increasingly frustrated.

The Daily Star have intensified rumours surrounding Edin Džeko and Tottenham Hotspur, reporting that the North Londoners are the favourites to seal the Bosnian's signature in the January transfer window. However, in the wake of Sergio Agüero's recent injury, a move away seems unlikely.

The man expected to fill Sergio's boots and step up to the plate is £16.4m man Stevan Jovetić. The Montenegrin has been plagued by injuries all season which have put a dampener on his life in Manchester. However, Italian website Ilvera Milanista believe Juventus are still keeping tabs on the striker and are hopeful of sealing a loan move in January.

According to ESPN, Sergio Agüero is set to miss both the Christmas and New Year period for Manchester City which would keep him out of ties against Leicester City, Fulham, Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Swansea City. The Argentine limped off with a calf injury during City's emphatic 6-3 win over Arsenal on Sunday in what may prove to be a huge blow for Pellegrini's men.

However, many were impressed with the brutality the blues exhibited on Sunday and Jason Burt of the Telegraph believes it is 'Manchester City's Premier League title to lose'. It' would be hard to argue with that, Jason!
