New Spurs boss Tim Sherwood is set to make his home Premier League debut, as Tottenham's festive fixture sees them up against manager less West Brom.

Both clubs have seen managerial casualties this season, with Andre Villas-Boas and Steve Clarke succumbing to the demands of a competitive Premier League campaign. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy moved quickly to reinstate a figure in the head coach role, with Tim Sherwood turning his interim manager position permanent after just two games.

Meanwhile, The Baggies will rely on the guidance of caretaker boss Keith Downing, with chairman Jeremy Peace insisting a new manager will be in place by this coming Saturday. It's fair to say both sides have had slow starts to the season, with Tottenham lying adrift of their Champions League hopes in 8th place, whilst West Brom find themselves within just 3 points of the relegation zone.

Spurs boss Sherwood goes into the game with fresh injury doubts. Midfielder Mousa Dembele limped out of Spurs' 3-2 win at Southampton, whilst winger Aaron Lennon is suffering with an abdominal injury. Brazilian midfielder Sandro is expected to return from a calf injury, although remains a doubt. Jan Vertonghen, Younes Kaboul, Andros Townsend and Harry Kane are all unavailable.

Keith Downing finds himself with close to a full squad to pick from. Victor Anichebe and Nicolas Anelka have groin injuries, with the latter potentially available for the trip to White Hart Lane.
