With first - third coming up this Sunday at Anfield, this game could be critical to the race for the Premier League title. But Brendan Rodgers still has the problem of a leaky defence, which is not a good thing against any team, let alone Manchester City. Who do the Reds need to keep an eye on more than others?

For a start, the returning Sergio 'Kun' Aguero. After being injured for a lot of the season, Aguero will be out to prove to the City fans that he is worth keeping hold of despite his injury problems. With blistering pace and a sight for goal, Aguero wil be a handful for the porous Merseyside defence. So how well will Liverpool manage to cope with the Argentine international?

Secondly, it's debatedly City's best player this season, Yaya Toure. Lethal from open play and set pieces, Rodgers will be instructing his players to keep tabs on the Ivory Coast midfielder throughout the game. With just a few yards of space needed for him to score or play a defence splitting pass, it is likely that Rodgers will assign a specific man to mark the Manchester City powerhouse.

Next, is David Silva. The Spanish playmaker has been key to City's success this season, with goals and assists for the Blues. Pace, agility and vision could tear apart the Liverpool defence, so they'll need to keep an eye on his crafty runs or he'll tear a hole in the Reds' back four.

These are just three of many players Liverpool should look out for with Samir Nasri, Edin Dzeko and Fernandinho also among the ranks of stars that could cause Liverpool trouble. Should Liverpool manage to pin down a star studded XI and defeat the Blue Moon, they'll be favourites for the league title, which will thrill all fans of Rodgers' ever-improving squad. With the game of the season just days away, we'll see who comes out on top.
