Media reports are suggesting that Arsenal have signed 15-year old Brooklyn Beckham on a short-term deal. After impressing Gunners coaches in recent training sessions, it appears the North London club are prepared to allow Brooklyn the chance to shine in their Under-16’s setup until the end of the season.

The deal is reportedly set to be extended if, the son of Manchester United legend David Beckham, impresses enough up until the summer of 2015. Brooklyn and fellow sibling Romeo are openly Arsenal fans within a Beckham household that could easily opt for the red half of Manchester. Younger brothers Romeo and Cruz, 12 & nine-years-old respectively, are already involved within the Arsenal youth set-ups and are known to be impressing.

David Beckham is continually seen watching the Gunners at the Emirates with his sons and is said to have a good relationship with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger. Beckham trained with the Gunners during the LA Galaxy off-season a couple of years ago and this may well be where seeds were sown for the Beckham influx at the Emirates.

Additional reports have had other English giants Manchester United and Chelsea interested in securing the signature of Brooklyn Beckham, but it appears his support and family involvement within the red half of North London may well have enabled the Gunners to nip ahead of their rivals in attaining the potential star for the foreseeable future.

The rest of the 2014-15 season could prove interesting within the Arsenal youth ranks as they search to see if any of the younger Beckham’s, and in particular Brooklyn, have the ability to follow in their fathers illustrious footsteps.
