Michael Carrick has heaped praise on his team-mate Ander Herrera after an impressive first season at Old Trafford.

The Spaniard joined the club from Athletic Bilbao for £28m and scored 8 goals in all competitions for the Red Devils

Herrera found opportunities hard to come by in the winter, but the Spaniard found glistening form, starring in wins against Spurs, Liveprool and Manchester City

After being asked which team-mate has impressed him most, Carrick explained why it was Herrera: "As time’s gone on and the more he’s played, he’s definitely developed," Carrick told the club's official website.

"You could see as soon as he got here he was talented and he's a good player. He’s added a few goals to his game as well, which I’m sure he’ll be pleased about.

"I’m sure there’s still more to come from Ander in the seasons ahead."

Herrera will be hoping to cement a place in United's starting line-up next season as the club seek to strengthen their ranks with the club expected to challenge on all fronts next season.
