Liverpool FC are rumoured to be pursuing a deal for Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Adam Bogdan, who is out of contract this summer.

27-year-old Bogdan is expected to leave the Macrom Stadium this summer, ending an eight-year spell at the club, and it believed that Brendan Rodgers is targeting him as a replacement for Australian 'keeper Brad Jones, who is expected to leave Anfield upon the expiry of his contract in June.

The Hungarian got the chance to show off his talents to the Liverpool crowd earlier this season, as a series of fine saves awarded his side a 0-0 draw in the FA Cup Fourth Round.

He could become one of three free signings for Liverpool this summer, as they have already secured a deal to sign James Milner from Manchester City, and are reportedly close to agreeing a deal for Burnley striker Danny Ings, after opening talks earlier this week.

Bogdan would join Simon Mignolet and Danny Ward in the goalkeeping ranks on Merseyside, with the latter not being deemed ready for first-team action currently.

A potential goalkeeping coach for Bogdan is an unknown at the moment, with current first-team goalkeeping coach John Achterberg rumoured to be considering his position at Liverpool. This comes amid an expected upheaval of the club's coaching staff, started by the departure of coach Mike Marsh on Thursday.
