Robin van Persie may be leaving Old Trafford this summer. However, it won't be Lazio according to the club president.

Despite the forward being spotted in Rome today which sparked rumours linking Van Persie to Lazio, Claudio Lotito has denied a move for the Netherlands and Manchester United striker.

Claudio Lotito denied any deal being in place to sign Van Persie in an extraordinary rant, claiming the any rumours deal is “total bull.”

Van Persie was pictured in Rome a day after he featured in the Netherland’s 4-3 loss to the United States in a friendly.

With the Netherlands facing Latvia on Friday in their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, it’s still unclear as to why the Dutch striker was in Italy.

With the English press reporting Van Persie could be sold to Lazio for around £10m, Loito has labeled the rumours as "all rubbish,” and shut down the possibility of any move for the United striker.

“Van Persie? Haven’t you figure this out yet?”, he told Italian publication Corriere dello Sport.

“It’s all rubbish! Total bull! [Van Persie’s agent Vincenzo] Morabito is the one trying to spread these rumours.”

Van Persie’s future still remains in doubt at the club after a below-average season, where he suffered from a World Cup hangover, injuries and poor form.
