Nathaniel Chalobah could be closing in on another loan move to Reading, where he spent the second half of last season.

The 20-year old is currently on the fringes of the Chelsea first team and is likely to be sent on loan again, with Reading interested in the young midfielder. Chalobah impressed during a short loan spell with the Championship side last season.

England U21 international

The England U21 international made 20 appearances in his stint at the Madjeski Stadium and under Steve Clarke, Chalobah's development would continue. According to getreading.co.uk, there remains quite a bit of work to do before any move goes ahead and the midfielder is said to be open to the idea of a return to Reading.

Productive 2014/15

The Englishman helped Reading survive in the Championship towards the end of the 2014/15 campaign and played a role in the club's run to the FA Cup Semi Final. Former Chelsea coach Steve Clarke was impressed by the midfielder and his relationship with the Chelsea manager is likely to put Reading top of the list for the youngster's services.

Chalobah has yet to make a competitive appearance for the Chelsea first team but did feature in pre-season tours and is highly rated by Jose Mourinho and others at the club.

The midfielder has had loan spells with multiple Championship clubs, including, Watford, Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest. His most successful stint came in 2012 with Watford, scoring five goals in 38 games. Chalobah struggled whilst with Burnley and Middlesbrough but is still considered a bright talent in the England and Chelsea set-up.

Still only 20, time is on Chalobah's side as he hopes to reach his full potential with Chelsea and another loan spell away from Stamford Bridge can only improve his overall game as he moves forward.
