Six senior Aston Villa players have flown out of the Midlands to join up with their international squads, ahead of the penultimate international break of 2015.

A chance to qualify for next year's European Championships is at stake for some Villans, especially those representing nations closer to home, whilst others will travel as far as South America for their fixtures.

Hutton looking to help Scotland to success

Alan Hutton has a huge role to play for Scotland at right-back, as they face two massive games to decide whether or not they'll make it to France next year.

The Villa defender is likely to start in each fixture they have, at home to Poland on Thursday evening, before a much easier looking away trip to Gibraltar on Sunday. Victory in each game would keep Scotland's hopes of qualification alive, however defeat in either would end them.

Elsewhere in Europe, young Jordan Amavi will continue to raise his profile by joining up with the French Under-21 squad. Hoping to break into the senior squad by the time of next year's Championship's, Amavi has matches against Scotland and Ukraine to impress.

Others face long-haul friendly matches

Villa's two representatives from the African continent, Idrissa Gueye and Jordan Ayew, will join up with Senegal and Ghana respectively for friendly matches against Algeria and Canada.

Moving into North and South America and there are two Villans in action over there, Carlos Sanchez and Brad Guzan. Sanchez, a key part of the Colombian team who had an excellent run in the 2015 Copa America, will line up against Peru on Thursday and Uruguay on Tuesday in the South American World Cup qualifiers.

Guzan will compete for the USA against Mexico in the CONCACAF Confederations Cup play-off on Sunday, before playing in a high-profile friendly game against Brazil on Wednesday.
