Hull City came from a goal down to beat Reading 2-1 at the KC Stadium in the Sky Bet Championship.

A moment of brilliance from Reading saw them take the lead. On the half hour mark two backheels fed Nick Blackman, with the striker netting and scoring his first goal in nine games.

The hosts were back in it however after Sam Clucas sent a shot across goal before Ahmed Elmohamady's was blocked and Abel Hernandez slotted in the rebound.

It was a manic winner in the first minute of stoppage time as the ball bounced around the Royals area before Jake Livermore managed to put the ball in the back of the net, sealing a second win in two for the Tigers.

Reading were well in the ascendancy from the start, with Danny Williams causing all sorts of problems for the hosts. He found himself in space in the Hull area but couldn't direct his shot past Allan McGregor, who saved well and kept the scores level.

Shortly after it was Blackman's turn to trouble the goal. He was given the ball in the area after some great hold up play, but the striker's effort was well saved by the Hull 'keeper, who dived to his left to produce a fingertip save.

A Moment Of Magic

The game died down until the half hour mark. Hull were growing into the game and starting to enjoy some good possession. But just as they found their feet the visitors took a deserved lead.

It was a fantastic goal from Reading, after getting the ball on the wing, a pass into feet saw two backheels slotting in Blackman, who made no mistake and powered his shot past McGregor and gave the hosts a slender lead heading towards half time.

Hull looked shellshocked but eager to get back into the game. Sam Clucas' free kick was lofted in and headed down by Harry Maguire but Curtis Davies couldn't tap it in from close range.

There was so very nearly an equalizer five minutes before half time. Ahmed Elmohamady floated a ball into the area which Hernandez was inches away from connecting with. The hosts were slightly on top as half time came.

Strong Start

The Tigers came out with a point to prove in the second half, Moses Odubajo was the first to challenge Jonathan Bond's goal in the second period. The run by the full back saw him get a shot on goal, which was well saved by the Reading 'keeper.

Hull finally got their equalizer, on the hour mark Clucas stormed his way into the box but lost the ball, gaining it back again and firing a shot across goal. HIs shot fell to Elmohamady whose shot was saved before Hernandez was on hand to tap in the rebound.

A moment of controversy with 20 minutes remaining as Bond came out to collect a loose ball, but misjudged his step and ran out the area with the bal in his hands. The 'keeper was booked for the infringement with the home crowd appealing for a red.

It was almost 2-1 to Hull when Reading were caught out in possession and Hernandez and Chuba Akpom linked up with the latter firing a shot which Bond did well to save. An effort that could have cost the hosts.

However the winner eventually came as Shaun Maloney was handed the ball, who tried to make space and shoot in the area but his shot was blocked and fell to Livermore, who powered the ball home to seal a win for the Tigers, who remain fourth in the league, two points adrift of first placed Middlesbrough.
