Southampton youngsters James Ward Prowse, Matty Targett and Jack Stephens have all been named in Gareth Southgate's England under-21 squad selection for the upcoming Euro 2017 qualifier against Switzerland.
The boss has named a strong squad for the fixtures as many of the players look to gain experience ahead of the big tournament, as well as eyeing up progression towards the senior side.
23 man squad named
Southgate's 23 players have been named for the game, which they have during the upcoming international break. It is once more a squad full of Premier League regulars, with the likes of Jordon Ibe, Calum Chambers and Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek all included.
Overall, it is a squad which is really beginning to form shape and become one which is as strong as it gets at this level.
There is only one match for the side in this break, but the squad announcement again has three Southampton players included, which just underlines the strength that the academy continues to show. There is also a couple of players in the under-17 and under-18 squads for upcoming matches.
The under-21s' fixture is the final one they will have before the end of the regular season.
Last meeting
The England youngsters beat the Swiss in their most recent qualifier, winning 3-1 in Brighton. They came from behind in that game, with a penalty from Ward-Prowse getting them back into a match that had started to slip away from them.
Targett played the full 90 in that game as he continues to develop into a quality player for the Saints, and for his country at youth level. At that time Stephens, who is currently on loan at Coventry City, was unavailable due to a one-match suspension.
The English youngsters will come up against the Swiss in Thun, on Saturday 26 March.
