With the title and relegation decided, there is still the battle for the second Champions League place to be decided in the final weekend of the Frauen-Bundesliga.

Champions League battle

VfL Wolfsburg currently hold the second and final 2016-17 UEFA Women's Champions League spot, one point ahead of 1. FFC Frankfurt who won the 2014-15 edition.

Wolfsburg have the easier fixture on paper, as they host bottom side 1. FC Köln who have been relegated, having only picked up three wins. And earlier in the season, Wolfsburg won the corresponding fixture 3-0. They will have to bounce back from last weekend's 4-0 defeat to Turbine Potsdam, but can take comfort that their fate is in their own hands.

Frankfurt's win over SC Sand last Sunday means they still have a chance of playing in next season's Champions League. But they require a victory at home against Bayern 04 Leverkusen and hope Wolfsburg to fail to win. It is mathematically possible for them to secure second place with a draw, but Wolfsburg must lose by 11 goals and Frankfurt would have to score seven times; so highly unlikely.

Earlier in the season, Frankfurt beat Leverkusen 4-0. Leverkusen sit in tenth place, eight points ahead of the relegation places.

Champions' party

Bayern Munich have already won the title, but they will be wanting to end their season with a win at home against 1899 Hoffenheim. It has been an astonishing season, with Bayern losing just one league game to Frankfurt, as they sealed their second title in a row.

Earlier on in the season, Bayern beat Hoffenheim 3-1.

Other matches

SC Freiburg play SGS Essen in a battle between fourth and fifth, although Essen will be unlikely to overtake their opponents as they sit three points behind, and have a significantly worse goal difference. Freiburg, who won the earlier game 3-0, will not be able to finish any higher than their current position of fourth.

There is another game between sides consecutively placed in the league. FF USV Jena play SC Sand as seventh take on sixth, with just one point between the two clubs. Sand won the game between the sides earlier on in the season 3-0, and a repeat performance will see them hold onto the sixth spot.

In the other game, relegated SV Werder Bremen host Turbine Potsdam in their final Frauen-Bundesliga match after their one season stay comes to an end. Earlier in the season, Potsdam beat Bremen 4-0 and if they can repeat that victory they could climb to fifth.
