Alvaro Morata has declared that he is “tired” of all the rumours linking him with Real Madrid.

The 11-time Champions League winners have the option of using their buy-back clause of £24m on the Spanish striker this summer. Morata played 37 games for Los Blancos after being given his debut from, new Manchester United gaffer, Jose Mourinho in 2010 before leaving for the Old Lady four years later.

Frustration fueling the move?

The 23-year-old cut a frustrated figure when he was questioned on Spanish radio show Al Primer Toque. He was reluctant to say things one way or the other; with him not wanting his comments to be used out of context.

"Each thing that is said now will be seen in one way or another," he commented. "I said what player would not like to go to the best club in the world (Real Madrid), not that my desire was that nor what I wanted,” Morata said.

"We hope that all of this will go as quickly as possible," he pleaded. "The truth is that I am tired of the subject of the repurchase and no repurchase.”

Time for Arsenal to swoop?

These comments have done the opposite of what Morata would have wanted though with his future being cast even further into doubt with the rumour mill firing up once more.

Arsenal, Chelsea and both Manchester sides have all been noted to have a concrete interest in the forward. His comments about playing in England have only fed into the press he has been getting – he believed his style suits the division very well.

"I think my characteristics mean the Premier League would be a great destination,” he told AS after being called up for the Euros.

Alvaro Morata scored 12 goals and got nine assists in 47 games in all competitions this season. Should he leave the Serie A giants then he will have left with a great parting gift – an extra time winner with his first touch after coming on moments before in the Italian Cup final.
